Junie is a shy cosplayer and content creator who finds it difficult to allow others to get close to her. She finds that posting videos online about making costumes fills the void caused by her loneliness.
During a convention, she meets Kian, a fellow cosplayer and content creator who is determined to pull Junie out of her shell. Although the connection she and Kian share is electric, Junie finds herself retreating to her reclusive ways. But Kian is determined to be with her.

“You frustrate me so much,” Kian grumbled, his hand slipping through Junie’s hair as he held her close.
“That’s my line,” she mumbled, sliding her hands around Kian’s sides to rest them on his back. “You’re the one who refuses to listen.”
He quirked a thick eyebrow down at her. “And yet, you’re still here.” 
She wasn’t sure if she wanted to throttle the man or kiss him. “You’re here. Where else would I be?”

Kian was having difficulty focusing and for once, it wasn’t due to having his cute girlfriend within arm’s reach. However, that would normally be driving him crazy and more than enough to keep him from finishing the video edits that needed to get done. 


He gave up on concentrating and tilted his head slightly so he could watch Junie more fully. She was sitting with one foot up on his computer chair, her other one hanging below so that her sock-covered foot was barely skimming the wooden floor. Her short, choppy dark hair was pinned back in several places today, her bangs seeming to refuse to behave. She often complained about her bangs and that she was actually going to grow them out this time, but in the short time Kian had known her, he was pretty sure Junie had already attempted to cut her own bangs a handful of times, claiming that they were always getting in her eyes.
