Chapter 50: A Vulnerable Kind of Love

Junie grinned and waved at yet another group of Dark Wing cosplayers who had asked to take pictures with her and Kian.

The convention was over and people were flooding out of the large glass building. The sky was a breathtaking mix of orange and pink that reminded Junie of the day that Kian had told her he loved her. She felt a familiar peace washing over her. She still couldn’t believe all the events that had gone on that day. Just that morning, hers and Kian’s relationship had been in shambles and she had been curled up on her couch with oily hair and pale skin. 

She marveled at how quickly her life had changed over the past few months, all because of Kian. 

“I just wanted to thank you for everything,” she said suddenly, squeezing her boyfriend’s hand. 

“What do you mean?” he asked gently, squeezing back affectionately.
