On that fateful day of Silvan's return, Lucian stood by his side, his heart heavy with sadness and regret. Silvan's once-golden eyes had been plucked out by his father, leaving empty sockets as a cruel reminder of his disobedience.
Lucian gently touched the blindfold covering Silvan's eyes, his voice trembling with emotion.
"I-I can't see you now... Lucian..." Tears streamed down Silvan's face, wetting his blindfold. Despite his lack of eyes, Silvan's lacrimal glands still allowed him to cry.
Lucian's heart ached as he witnessed his lover in this state. He hugged Silvan tightly, his fingers softly running through his silky white hair. Silvan hugged him back, sobbing uncontrollably.
"It's going to be okay... I promise, my love," Lucian whispered, his voice filled with genuine reassurance and affirmation.
"I will protect you... No matter what happens, I'll always be there for you," the tall man declared, his voice filled with determination.
They held each other in a tight embrace, finding solace in the warmth of their love. The only sounds that filled the air were their shared heartbeats and Silvan's cries. Silvan felt comforted and safe in Lucian's arms.
Suddenly, the sound of horse hooves echoed in the distance. They turned to see an army of angels approaching, led by Seraphim Raphael, Silvan's father. Raphael sat atop a white horse, his expression stern as he witnessed the two opposing creatures embracing.
"...Father?" Silvan's voice trembled with recognition.
"What do I have to do for you to obey our divine rules and my command?!" Raphael's voice boomed with anger and disappointment.
"Your love for him and your stubbornness will be the one that gets you killed!" Raphael spat, his words filled with venom.
Lucian locked eyes with Raphael, acknowledging him as the father of the love of his life, but also as the source of immense pain. Raphael was even worse than Lucian's own father.
"So you're the son of Lucifer, the king of the underworld... How bold of you to seduce my son," Raphael hissed at Lucian.
"Father, he didn't-" Silvan tried to defend his lover, but was silenced by his father's harsh words.
"Silence! Did I ask for you to speak?" Raphael's interruption crushed Silvan's attempt to protect Lucian.
"No, father... But Lucian didn't do anything wrong, and he never will..." Silvan pleaded, his words begging his father to leave them alone and let them be.
"How ironic... Get my son away from that demon right now!" Raphael ordered, and two angels flew to grab Silvan's arm, attempting to drag him away from Lucian.
But Lucian couldn't bear to see Silvan being taken away from him. He swiftly intervened, stopping the angels in their tracks. Raphael's fury escalated, forcing him to reveal his true form as a six-winged angel, a Seraphim. Lucian, in turn, transformed into his demon form. The two engaged in a fierce battle.
Lucian couldn't help but wonder if Silvan would find his true form disgusting. He had a long black wing and two horns forming on his forehead, and his ocean blue eyes slowly turning red.
"You don't know how to give up, do you?" Raphael taunted, using his power to create a big sword that shone brightly. Lucian's own sword appeared beside him, and he quickly grabbed it, fueled by anger and frustration. He killed all of Raphael's minions who came in his way.
"I will never give up." Lucian's voice held coldness and determination as he wiped out all of the angels. Now, he and Raphael were fighting face to face.
"Hah! Kid, you'll never beat a Seraphim!" Raphael bragged as he took a toll on Lucian. Lucian's arms were now full of cuts, and he was bleeding profusely.
Lucian spit blood as Raphael's sword pierced his face slightly.
Silvan, unable to see anything, was panicking. He knew his father and Lucian were fighting, and he felt helpless.
Amidst the chaos, Silvan mustered up the courage and summoned his ultimate divine power. With great effort, he created an explosion between the two and managed to halt the fight. However, the exertion took a toll on Silvan, and he began bleeding profusely.
"Silvan!" Lucian stood up quickly, even though he hadn't recovered from the loud noise and the blinding light of the explosion Silvan created.
"You never turn your back on your enemy..." Raphael ran towards Lucian, who was walking to Silvan, who was coughing up blood.
"Lucian!" In fear, Silvan quickly used his remaining power to teleport behind Lucian and faced his father. Fortunately, his father realized it quickly and stopped.
"You could've died. Why did you do that?!" Raphael expressed his anger

Lucian looked back and breathed a sigh of relief to find Silvan okay and not stabbed.
'You're safe...' he thought to himself before he stumbled to the floor as he had lost a lot of blood already.
"I might just be a weak celestial angel, but I'm still your son," Silvan said, using his magic to create a chain and chaining up his father's arms.
For once, Raphael acknowledged his son, even though he could have easily broken out of the chain using his power. But just this once, he let his son be.
Silvan turned around and ran to Lucian's side, helping him get up.
"Thank you, Silvan..." Lucian said, grateful for his lover's support.
"We'll protect each other starting from this moment, okay?" Silvan smiled, determined to stand by Lucian's side.
In that moment, Lucian reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring. He slipped it onto Silvan's ring finger, symbolizing their eternal bond.
"Hope you like the ring..." Lucian said, knowing that Silvan couldn't see it but hoping that the gesture would bring him comfort. Silvan touched the ring and felt the warmth in his heart, despite the darkness surrounding them.
A minute later, the divine gods appeared in the sky, their presence manifested as a radiant light against the dark sky. They spoke in a resounding voice, addressing both Silvan and Lucian.
The divine gods declared that Silvan would be punished for his actions and the chaos he had caused. As part of his punishment, his wings were forcefully plucked out, mirroring the fate of his eyes.
Silvan screamed in pain as he felt one of his wings being plucked out forcefully.

But the gods didn't stop there.
"Pluck out your own heart, Lucian, to prove the depth of your love for Silvan..." The divine god spoke again, asking Lucian to prove his love by plucking out his own heart.
Silvan's eyes widened. A creature without its heart would be as good as dead.
He faced his lover beside him and shook his head. Silvan was scared, being unable to see and feeling the horrendous pain on his back was frightening him. The fact that he couldn't see what was happening and could only rely on his hearing made him feel even more vulnerable.
Lucian held Silvan's face, wiping away the tears that continued to fall. His voice was filled with a mixture of love and determination as he spoke,
"I may have lost my wings and my sight, but I have gained something far more precious—your love, Lucian..."
Silvan's sobs grew louder, his heart breaking at the thought of losing the one he loved. He clung to Lucian, desperately trying to hold onto the fleeting moments they had left.
"Please don't leave me..." Silvan's voice trembled with fear and anguish.
"I told you, I would do anything to protect you..." Lucian's voice was filled with a bittersweet resolve. He was grateful that Silvan couldn't see the pain etched on his face, for it would only add to his lover's sorrow.
Silvan could no longer feel Lucian's warm hand on his face. He knew that Lucian had made his decision, and it meant sacrificing his own life. As Lucian moved away from him, Silvan's heart shattered into a million pieces.
Lucian's nails, now pointy and long due to his true form, hovered over his chest. With one swift motion, he plunged his hand into his own chest, ripping out his own heart. Blood splattered everywhere, painting the ground in a gruesome display. Even Raphael, who had been silent until now, was left speechless as he witnessed the prince of the underworld plucking out his own heart for the sake of his son.
Minutes later, Lucian finally collapsed on the ground, his life force fading away.
Silvan sobbed uncontrollably as he cradled Lucian's body in his arms. The weight of grief and loss pressed heavily on his chest, making it difficult to breathe.
"I'll find you someday, Silvan... M...my love for you will endure for eternity..." Lucian whispered weakly before succumbing to death.
