Romantic Dinner

Amelia opened her laptop and powered it up. She scanned the list of names, but hers was nowhere to be found. Frustration building, she searched repeatedly, her eyes darting back and forth across the screen. Each time, disappointment surged through her. Her heart raced, and anxiety crept in as she desperately scrolled through the list again and again.

"Where's my name?" she muttered to herself.

She searched from the bottom up, and her eyes widened when she finally spotted her name, Amelia Wang.

"I can't believe it!" Amelia exclaimed. Not only did she get good grades, but she also scored the highest. Her name was in the top three for all subjects, and most impressively, she topped the Physics Math class.

Amelia didn't realize her eyes were watering until a tear dropped onto the back of her hand. Her phone buzzed again, showing a call from Aiden.

"I… I can't believe this," Amelia said, not even greeting him first.
