Of course, Aaron's words made his father furious. His eyes glared at his stepson, and the urge to slap the ungrateful kid was almost unstoppable. If Mr. Miller wasn't standing right there, he would've done it.

"Aaron, you must be joking. We discussed this with you before, right?" Mr. Chen forced a smile, but his face was clearly pissed.

"Yeah, but I said no," Aaron replied firmly and curtly. "In plain words."

"Aaron, I thought you agreed," Mr. Miller said seriously. He looked at Margaux closely and then spoke again. "Or, even if you think this is old-fashioned, you should give it a try because you and Margaux are a perfect match. You'll be a happy couple. Aren't you two very close?"

"Sorry, Mr. Miller, but to me, Margaux is like a sister."

Mr. Miller's mouth opened but then closed again. "Aaron, I just feel like you're too young to realize that marriage in our circles—"
