Bedtime tale

Lily stepped out of the house, cradling Michael in her arms, into the radiant daylight of Eldia. The garden, bathed in sunlight, revealed Robert, shirtless and wielding a sword with practiced grace.

As Lily approached, a smile crossed Robert's face. "Heading out, Lily?" he inquired, his eyes shifting briefly to Michael.

"Yes," Lily replied, her words accompanied by a nod. "I thought we'd visit the market today, maybe meet some neighbors."

Robert sheathed his sword. "Sounds like a plan. Enjoy your day, both of you."

As Lily smiled and nodded and exited the house with Michael in her hands, they ventured into the enchanting surroundings of their village Eldia. Michael, cradled in Lily's arms, took in the breathtaking scenery. Majestic mountains stood tall in the distance, their peaks reaching towards the sky. The green plains spread out below, adorned with trees swaying in the gentle breeze.

The sights that surrounded him were a far cry from the images he had only seen on the internet during his previous life on Earth. The richness of colors, the vividness of nature – they were now tangible, not just pixels on a screen.

I looked around, absorbing the charm of Eldia as it unfolded before me. The quaint village seemed like a page torn from a storybook, with cobblestone paths winding through clusters of rustic cottages. Flowers bloomimg in all sorts of colour's.

As we strolled through the lively market, the scent of freshly baked goods mingled with the earthy aroma of herbs and spices.

"It's... different," I thought to myself. "Not the concrete jungle and neon lights I was used to."

Michael is amazed by the sheer beauty of his new world. As they explore the marketplace he is surrounded by a wide variety of goods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, spices and herbs, handmade crafts and art, and more.

Michael's eyes wander around the market, soaking it all in. It's a much calmer and peaceful place than the crowded cities he's seen on the internet. The people here seem friendly and laid-back, and the atmosphere is calm.

As he strolled through the lively market, his gaze shifted to the men and women engaged in animated conversations.

After an hour of exploring the vibrant market, Lily noticed the weariness settling in. She looked down at me with a tender smile, "My little Michael must be tired, shall we head back home?"

In response, I mustered a tired expression, a silent agreement to her suggestion.

[A Few Weeks Later]

"Knowledge is power...and I do not know anything about this world..and for that ...I have a plan...it's nighttime right now and lily must be coming in anytime now in my room to tell me a story to make me fall asleep or a lullaby...the plan beings after she goes away." i said to myself inside my mind.

As Lily entered the room, her soothing presence accompanied by the soft glow of a lantern, she settled beside me. "So, Mama's little boy, do you want to hear a bedtime story?"

I nodded eagerly.

Lily's voice wove a tapestry of words, each sentence unveiling a tale of a land engulfed in suffering. I listened intently as she spoke of a group of people who, in their darkest hours, sought solace through prayer. The gods, appearing as seven angels, descended upon them, bringing a glimmer of hope to a world drowning in despair.

The story unfolded, describing how these angels granted the people's innermost desires, ushering in an era of joy and relief. The once-pained souls found solace, free from the shackles of sorrow.

"As the angels departed," Lily continued, her voice carrying a serene cadence, "they left behind a promise: that on the day when all hope is lost, their prayers will be answered, and the gods will descend to grant them salvation... once more."
