Mindless Ones

"I never thought I would be doing this, but come forth," David said as a small portal opened.

From it came a stone being. Standing at a height of about nine feet tall and possibly more, the being had no eyes, mouth, or other known facial features.

However, there existed a small oval line across its face that glowed red. Its body was cumbersome and nearly broke through the floor due to its weight.

David had to actively hold the material of the building and bend the space around it to make it smaller so it could fit into his room.

The creature, sensing its change in environment, immediately tried to charge forward to fight against the opponent before it, but David simply snapped his fingers, and the creature was frozen in place.

"Mindless Ones, the name really fits you all," David said as he hovered into the air to stand at equal height with it.

Mindless Ones were creatures of the Dark Domain, a place that was home to many Dark Lords such as Dormammu.

The Mindless Ones were creatures created by another Dark Lord for the purpose of restricting other Dark Lords from expanding their territory too much.

They were known for two things, though: their immense strength and their optic blasts. Of course, they were also very durable as well.

David, however, wanted none of these. He had summoned it here because, in the whole universe, it was the most dispensable thing ever. He could kill an army of them, and it wouldn't affect the timeline or the destiny of anyone in any way.

It was perfect for what he planned. Placing his hand on the creature's head, David sent a wave of energy into it as it immediately broke into several pieces.

Each piece was still big enough to match him in weight, but it didn't matter as David continued using his abilities on them. Each piece belonging to the creature was then reconstructed to fit his bidding.

At the end of everything, there were eight humanoid beings, each with two pairs of arms and a head that featured six eyes. They were similar to the Mindless One but more streamlined and smaller.

They also weighed much less and, above all, they were more powerful.

"Activate," David said as a soft hum of energy was heard.

The space around them shivered a bit, and David felt a massive difference in them compared to before.

"From now on, you all shall act as my sentries… your duty is to protect whom I tell you to and do as I tell you," David ordered.

"Sir, yes, sir!"

"Good. There are a total of three people in this household; you three are to protect them always," David said as he singled out three of them.

"Ensure to never be seen unless necessary, be swift and efficient as I have made you to be. The rest are to stay with me at all times until assigned a duty," David continued.

"As you wish, sir," the three answered before suddenly collapsing in on themselves.

It was as though some sort of black hole had somehow appeared inside them and collapsed. Despite the strange situation, though, David was unfazed. It was their ability.

Following the assigned three, the other five did the same as they all vanished from the room, but David could still sense all of them. They may be gone from both the timeline and space as a whole, but they still existed.
