Chapter 5 You became a character in my book

Way walked into the dining room which wasn't too spacious but enough for the three of them. He immediately spotted Wave scrolling through her phone as she held a cup of coffee.

"Anything?" He asked as he took a seat next to her.

"No, but look a new chapter came out and it's a bit weird," she spoke without glancing at him.

"What's weird about it?" Way asked curiously.

"They are looking for you," Wave turned to him.

"Looking for me? Who is looking for me and why?" Way looked up curiously.

"Aidan, you saved him right? Here have a look," she pushed her phone towards Way.

After a few minutes, Way looked up and then glanced at her quietly.

"What should we do?" Wave asked worriedly. She was the author but at this point, she didn't know if everything was just but an illusion or a dream.

"What do you mean we?" Way raised his hands and air quoted sarcastically.

"It's all your fault, how will you stop it?" Wave glared at Way.

"My fault? You drew this you are the author how is it my fault? I got dragged into the webtoon that you created so how is it my fault? You shouldn't have killed Aidan you could have at least given him a happy ending," Way lamented. He knew it wasn't the time for that but he couldn't help but feel worried so this was his way of calming himself down.

"I think we just created a link to another world," Wave said after a while.

"Wait, I think you are forgetting something it's not a 'we' here but a 'you'," Way corrected her.

"Fine, I just created a link to another world happy? Childish," She spoke sarcastically.

"Yes, now how are you going to solve it? I can't go to sleep peacefully 'cause I might wake up in who knows what world or place," Way complained.

"I can't solve it 'cause I don't know how and why it happened, I haven't figured it out," Wave said softly as she turned to Way and observed his expression.

"What do you mean you don't know how? This is just a story can't you just end it? You are the creator if you can't figure it out then who will?" He was extremely overwhelmed by everything.

"Fine, I have a few theories but I'm not sure it's just a speculation," she opened up after a while.

"Go ahead," Way replied as he waited for her patiently.

"The moment you got dragged into the webtoon you became a character also there might be a world other than this what did you see when you got dragged in? Was there anything different from here?"

"No, everything seemed okay that I didn't doubt at first, so you mean you created another world? Or have you opened a new world? Which is which?" Way turned to her.

"I don't know, but what I know is it's complicated I can't just simply kill the character cause the character came to life, it's still a webtoon but the difference is they are people so I can't just end it, " Wave explained.

"But why was I dragged in? Why not you?" Way asked. He couldn't understand why he was the only person that got dragged in.

"I don't know but I think Aidan was sending us a signal, I can't explain why it was you but I'll try to come up with a solution to stop all this before everything gets worse," she explained.

"I don't care how you will do it but just make sure I don't get dragged in, find a way." Way stood up and then walked away.

Way opened the door to his room and then walked. He looked around the unfamiliar room and before he could gather his thoughts he had a masculine voice.

"Who are you?" Hearing that it was when he realized that he wasn't in his room.

"Aaah, jeez not again, please not again," he whined as he tapped his forehead in frustration.

"What now? Why am I here again?" He asked no one in particular as he totally ignored the voice from earlier.

"Hey, I asked you who you were and what are you doing here?" The masculine voice rang again.

He looked up and then strode towards him having no choice. He was the only person he knew in this world plus he didn't know how to go back so the only choice he had at the moment was Aidan. From his speculations and theories, Aidan was the one who summoned him to this world.

"Don't you remember me?" Way spoke up. As he glanced at Aidan, he was partly mesmerized by him. He didn't have time to look at him the previous time since he was covered in blood due to his injuries.

He observed his small, cute, and handsome face. Truth be told he was the epitome of beauty. He had never seen someone who looked so charming, beautiful, and cute at the same time. His bangs softly curled in front of his forehead. He had lived half of his life hating on the gay people so being gay wasn't a choice for him but the person in front of him questioned his preference.

He gulped his saliva down his throat and couldn't look away.

"Am I that handsome? I know I'm a handsome guy but you don't have to stare at me so much," Aidan teased him.

It was at that time that Way realized he had been staring at him for a while, he looked away and then walked towards the window as he tried to find a distraction.

Aidan stared at the unknown man, he felt rather calm which was unusual as he lived his life always being wary of others. But the moment Way walked in, he couldn't help but feel relaxed he couldn't understand why he felt that way.

"Who are you? And why should I remember you?" He broke the silence. He instantly felt curious to know him, he had the feeling that the unknown person wasn't just someone passing by.

"Ooh, if you don't remember me then you don't have to strain yourself, I'm just someone passing by don't bother," Way replied after a while as he turned to face him.

Suddenly, the door was opened and an unknown man walked in. He raised his hands and then pointed a gun towards Aidan ready to shoot him.

Way unexpectedly ran towards Aidan shielding him from the gun shoot.

"Are you okay? Hey, why did you do that? Are you okay? Who are you?" Aidan spoke up in fear as he shook Way who was lying on top of him with a bullet on his back.
