Aidan stared at the unknown man, he felt rather calm which was unusual as he lived his life always being wary of others. But the moment Way walked in, he couldn't help but feel relaxed he couldn't understand why he felt that way.
"Who are you? And why should I remember you?" He broke the silence. He instantly felt curious to know him, he had the feeling that the unknown person wasn't just someone passing by.
"Ooh, if you don't remember me then you don't have to strain yourself, I'm just someone passing by don't bother," Way replied after a while as he turned to face him.
Suddenly, the door was opened and an unknown man walked in. He raised his hands and then pointed a gun towards Aidan ready to shoot him.
Way unexpectedly ran towards Aidan shielding him from the gun shoot.
"Are you okay? Hey, why did you do that? Are you okay? Who are you?" Aidan spoke up in fear as he shook Way who was lying on top of him with a bullet on his back.
"I'm not dead, so stop shaking me," Way replied with a laugh.
"Did you just laugh?" Aidan replied in confusion.
"Wait here, I'll go after the criminal," Way immediately stood up.
"Wait, you have to treat yourself," Aidan spoke.
"I'm a doctor don't worry, I'll be back," Way walked out of the hospital room, and then next thing, he found himself in his room.
"Are you kidding me?" He looked around his room in frustration. He instantly realized why he was summoned to the other world. Aidan was in danger.
He rushed out of his room and then went to the dining where he had left his sister.
"How long was I gone?" He asked Wave.
"What's with you? Have you gone crazy?" Wave glanced at him.
"Just answer me," Way yelled furiously.
"Aaah, jeez fine can't you just say it quietly? It hasn't even been two minutes," Wave glanced at him.
"Open the webtoon, I want to check something," Way spoke impatiently.
"What's with you? Are you losing your mind? I knew it you must be crazy, I knew it all along," Wave teased him.
"Just open it," he replied impatiently.
"Fine," she passed her phone to him.
"Did you draw this?" Way asked as he read the new chapter that had just been posted.
"Part of it, wait is that you? What are you doing there?" Wave asked as she saw Way in the webtoon.
"Exactly, did you send the unknown man to kill Aidan?" Way asked.
"Yeah, didn't you want to end it? That was the only way, it's easier that way," Wave replied.
"Why? Can't you just give him a happy ending? Must you kill him? I almost got killed they are people Wave,"
"What? What's with you have you fallen in love with the character? You wanted to end it so much a few minutes ago and didn't even care about what method I would use," Wave stared at Way suspiciously.
"What? Are you crazy, fallen in love? I can't talk to you I'm going back to my room," he stuttered. He glanced at Wave one last time before stomping out of the dining room.
"What nonsense is she spouting tch! In love? Me? That's nonsense I don't even have time to fall in love with my busy schedule, who gave her that idea," Way went on and on.
He sat on his bed and then took out his phone and then began scrolling through it.
"A new chapter came out," he spoke to no one in particular.
"He is quite handsome," he stared deep into space for a while before staring down at his phone.
"What? Did he just call me crazy? Ooh and cute, he has good taste though. I'm indeed cute," he stared at the bedside mirror after reading the chapter.
"I wish it was real," he sighed before going to the bathroom to shower.
For the first time in years, Way felt lonely. He thought that he had been living just fine all this time and didn't need a girlfriend by his side but after his encounter with Aidan, he felt lonely. He had only dated one girl in his life not because of his busy schedule but because he was afraid of being hurt. After his last unsuccessful relationship, he shut himself down from the world. But that wasn't the case anymore after today. He knew that everything would end soon, so he didn't want to bother himself with an unfruitful crash or love but what he didn't know was what fate had for him.
After taking a shower, he got into bed ready to take a nap.
Days went by and when Way had finally thought everything was over since he had not been summoned into the webtoon but it was just but the beginning. He spent some of his free time reading the chapters that came out. The webtoon that was once a trashy book and had been disposed of had started gaining others' attention it was now the talk of the town.
"It's been two days now since you were summoned and dragged into the webtoon shouldn't you be happy? Isn't that what you wanted? To end it all, then why are you so moody and sulky lately," Layla stared at his friend Way. She couldn't understand him anymore. One minute he was grumpy about being summoned and the next he was just like a moody teenager.
"What's with you? Come on, speak up," she yelled as she tapped him. She couldn't take it anymore. He emitted a cold air that no one had the guts to talk to him apart from her.
"What's with you? Speak up or else I'll ask your sister about it," she yelled again. She noticed the change in Way's behavior, he was suddenly interested in himself. For the past two days, she watched him walk around with a mirror and continuously asking her how he looked. He keenly worried about his appearance and even wore perfume each day. His sudden change is what picked her interest.
"Are you in love?" She asked seeing that she wouldn't get an answer anytime soon.
