Chapter 4: Strange Occurrence

Xu Han took his seat, and the class had already started as the instructor stood up from his desk in front of the classroom and began continuing yesterday's topic, which is a science subject.

Rousing the interest of Xu Han once more, although he has access to relevant memories over the past 17 years, it still gives a bit of a different feeling that he's absorbing all of the concepts firsthand, especially in topics such as physics and energy conversion.

This particular area or branch of science, as humans call it, the study of everything, is foreign to him.

As someone who learned only the understanding of elements, laws, spiritual, and mental energy, discovering these new things brings a great deal of satisfaction and interest to Xu Han, proving once more and bringing a great sense of pride that he created a reincarnation magic and successfully transmigrated to a remote part somewhere in the multiverse.

As the discussion goes on, while Xu Han is still fully immersed in absorbing the knowledge, right beside him on the left side by the window is a scrawny-looking thin young man named Yu Xue with circular prescriptive glasses, observing him.

"Something is different with this dude today; even though we've never really talked for the past two years of being classmates, the vibe he is giving is like from a different person, hmm... The vibe is different because back then, every time, Xu Han was scared out of his wits." Xu Han, unaware that the person beside him was already suspicious of him, is still intently listening to the instructor's discussions. Normally, he should be able to sense everything around him, including but not limited to emotional and mental fluctuations, considering his strong and abnormal mental capacity. However, because he's still fully integrating into his new body, it should take a few days for the process to complete, and he should be closer to regaining his peak strength.

However, if we're talking human standards, Xu Han is already what humans call Superhuman.

But whether or not he should be able to withstand modern human weaponry remains a question unless he gets to test it out.

The discussion ends after the bell rings at 3 pm, signaling the break time for students, which should last 1 hour before they take their last subject, from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Everyone stood up excitedly; some immediately left the classroom while others approached their friends to discuss random things.

Xu Han also stood up and left the classroom, heading to the cafeteria to have his first proper taste of what the food of this new world has to offer. He already knew about the tastes of this new world, but it was still different from trying it himself; hence, Xu Han is very much looking forward to it.

Unaware that a certain someone, Yu Xue, is following him at a safe distance, intending to observe him more because of his changed behavior and aura vibe, concealing himself among the crowds of students.

Upon arriving, they both headed towards the cafeteria. A long line of students was already at the counter, purchasing and receiving their food, which the school cooked. The cafeteria offered a wide variety, including eggs, pork, steaks, hotdogs, soups, leafy vegetable dishes, desserts, bread, and many more.

The colorful lineup makes Xu Han want to drool because aside from his interest in many other random and exciting things, he's also a bit of a foodie and likes to eat various foods as long as he finds the looks pleasing to his eyes and the taste is indeed up to his palette.

After lining up and getting as much as he could of everything that interested his appetite, he sat at an empty table in the very corner of the cafeteria and started Munching down on his meal as if there was no tomorrow; the new tastes just excited him much, not to mention his suddenly abnormal voracious appetite after awakening.

Yu Xue still observes him intently from a table that is a sufficient distance from him, suspicions growing increasingly as the Xu Han he knows does not eat like this. He remembers back then; Xu Han would usually only eat bread and a drink; that's also because, in part, most of Xu Han's lunch money goes to their classmate who always likes picking on Xu Han, hence why he also looks a bit thin despite having a pale skin and above-average looking face.

Remembering that arrogant and stupid classmate, Yu Xue thinks about what will happen next since Xu Han is still eating happily.

He doesn't have plans to comply with what that idiot bully wants.

Speaking of the devil, as everyone was eating and talking, a male student with a bit of a bigger build and a height of 1.7 meters entered the cafeteria with an intimidating, dignified face, looking for a certain someone and spotted the person he was looking at the corner eating happily.

Seeing this, the big guy is already fuming inside and quickened his pace towards Xu Han's table.

Arriving at Xu Han's table, he suddenly kicked the table, shaking the entirety of it, even causing some of the food to fly and drop on the floor.

Xu Han stopped eating because of the sudden development and looked up to see who had the guts to mess with him while he was enjoying his time.

After seeing the person's face, Xu Han's interest is piqued again, though he'll make sure that this individual will pay a painful price for messing with him.

Xu Han, "Oh, what brings you here, Shao Li?"

Shao Li, "What brings me here? Do you have the guts to ask me that question, punk? Where is the fck my lunch money? Are you blind beyond repair, and Did You not see the note on your useless table? You better take out everything you have right now, or you'll know what you're looking for."

As the scene escalates further, almost all of the students there are looking with great interest, guessing what will happen, as this big bully is infamous for picking on weaker and less fortunate students, and he's well known within the entire school. However, for some reason, he's still not getting expelled as he knows to stay below the radar and not push things to the limit every time, which is unfortunate for the students who become his target to pick on.

But all of this will suddenly change today because Xu Han is not someone you would want to pick on, that is if he knows the strongest conqueror is right in front of him.

Xu Han, "Then if you have the ability, you are free to do so," with a condescending smirk.

Seeing the expression that Xu Han is making, the idiot bully's brain snaps, and he's already prepared to teach Xu Han the lesson of his life.

Suddenly, he felt that it was sweltering, and he started sweating at an abnormal rate, right this moment as he was about to take another step forward.

It was as if a heatwave suddenly occurred inside the cafeteria, which had never happened before because the cafeteria itself is pretty well-ventilated with a cool wind breeze from outside.

All the other students also felt this abnormality, especially near Xu Han's table.

Some even stood up and started walking away because of the rising temperatures.

The bully, already sweating as if he had been running nonstop, began to entertain thoughts of pulling away.

There's something wrong with Xu Han, and this strange occurrence, along with that confident smirk and smile on his face, is creeping the hell out of him as if he's already in the mouth of a lion.

Shao Li, "You... you... you... I'll be getting back to you, punk! Just you wait!"

Xu Han, "Why are you suddenly backing out? I'm already here defenseless, bruh. If you don't have the guts, just admit it and get lost. Do not let me see you again, or else you'll be the one to see what you're looking for."
