Chapter 8: Second Disciple-ish?
"Tsk, I did not expect that my casual usage of time laws would be enough to attract cultivators wandering in the cosmos; it was even mistaken for a treasure." Xu Han said to himself.
Unfortunately for that cultivator, it wasn't a treasure but an old monster reborn, Xu Han, who showed his abilities briefly.
After this brief encounter with someone courting death, Xu Han proceeded to head to the nearest supermarket to buy things he needed for his house. After he came back, Xu Han prepared and left to attend school.
Xu Han arrives at school without any accidents this time.
When he arrived and sat in his seat, he first saw Yu Xue looking at him as if his eyes were sparkling.
Xu Han was creeped out for a bit by Yu Xue's passionate way of looking at him as if he was going to swallow him whole.
"Master, you're amazing! You scared that huge figure out of his wits, and he couldn't even escape your space blade." Yu Xue said in an excited but low voice.
"Nothing is amazing with it, my disciple. It's just an ant that came knocking." Xu Han's voice resounded in his mind.
Yu Xue froze still, as he could not comprehend how he heard his master's voice without his master talking as if he were communicating telepathically.
Xu Han's voice resounded in his mind once again, "Stupid disciple, I can also read your thoughts. I am communicating telepathically, or to be exact, using my mental energy to transmit messages directly to your brain. And It's nothing special once you reach the level of an awakened; you can also do this to anyone the same or below your level. You can't casually initiate communication with a higher being than you as a higher level being's mental protection is. stronger and denser than yours, your mental threads will be torn to shreds if you attempt to contact such a being. You do not want your mental threads torn even a little bit. Trust me, kid."
Yu Xue made sure to remember what his master just said, more importantly, the warning at the end part of it.
Yu Xue calmed down and adjusted his thoughts as the class was about to start as the instructor entered the classroom.
The day passed uneventfully as no accidents occurred once again.
Aside from Yu Xue making tremendous progress already stepping at the Qi Initiate level. in less than a day and successfully stepping onto the path of cultivation and making a huge step in transforming from a weak mortal without any abilities.
Xue Han was quite satisfied with this disciple of his, as expected of top talent; it wouldn't be more than a year till he reached the level of Divine Ascendant, taking into consideration the current spiritual density of this mysterious planet.
Speaking of this planet, Xue Han was still quite intrigued by the secrets in this planetary system that he could not even crack at all.
"I'm a hundred percent certain that the ant earlier won't even be able to damage this planet, including all the cosmic bodies that are included in this planetary system called the solar system." Xu Han ponders to himself.
"It wouldn't be fun if that idiot insect earlier activated an array or something beyond my control when I'm still not finished enjoying the wonders of this modern civilization that the powerless humans created." Xu Han thought with interest.
The last class is over, and all students leave school to return to their homes. Surprisingly, Shao Li didn't appear; not even his shadow could be seen the whole day.
Xu Han is about to accelerate and walk on the way home when a gang-looking group blocks his way.
At the forefront of this group is Shao Li, who has been absent the entire day.
"You finally appeared punk! It's payback time for the humiliation you caused me yesterday!" Shao Li said, grinning from ear to ear.
"Oh, what a fearsome gang you got here, little Li." Xu Han responded with disdain.
Shao Li did not like that Xu Han was not cowering in fear from the intimidation he made.
"You better kowtow three times to this daddy if you know what's good for you! I might even consider letting you off!" Shao Li shouted angrily.
All the other gang members laughed maniacally at Xu Han, waiting for his begging expression and action.
"You're not even worth me lifting my finger, kid. Instead, I'll give you a chance to get out and never appear again in my sight." Xu Han replied.
Shao Li and the gang are dumbfounded by what they just heard; it is as if Xu Han is unaware of his current position; he even dares to tell them to get lost.
"Brothers beat this motherfucker up until not even his ancestors could recognize him! But don't kill him. " Shao Li ordered the gang as they prepared their weapons, knives, pipes, baseball bats, fists, etc.
"Well, you've already chosen your faith; don't blame me for what happens next. Not that you'll be able to. " Xu Han snickered.
Yu Xue watched from a distance in the dark as the scene unfolded before him.
Yu Xue sighed, "What a bunch of idiots digging their graves; they don't know what's about to befall them."
In the next second, just as they charged forward, everyone froze in their spots. Some even fell to the ground as they weren't standing upright.
Yu Xue was not shocked by what had happened; he wondered what methods his master had used.
"I won't kill you as you're inhabitants of this planet, but prepare to live a more difficult life; I'm just not sure how you'll exactly do it; good luck." Xu Han said to the group of people still frozen in place.
Xu Han proceeded to walk and head home as he had enough of all the shit that he's got to deal with for today. He can't wait for his disciple to grow sufficiently strong so he won't have to deal with these stupid situations.
The gang members and Shao Li simultaneously started moving and stood up; the only difference is that they're much more similar to a robot moving around.
As for what happened, a quarter of their mental origin has been obliterated by force from a superior power, causing significant damage to their thinking capacity. They only retain the fundamental will to survive and do things, to keep the body functioning and moving, but their own individual personality is no longer.
Except for one person, that is Shao Li.
Xu Han decided not to damage his mental origin or soul because he's also a top talent in physical strength and earth elements.
This reminds Xu Han of a certain guy who split the chaos using his axe and created the current planes of existence today.
Though not the same, Shao Li's innate talent is already extremely close to that legend. Hence, it would be a waste not to rope him in as a potential lacke-... disciple in the future.
But before all the thoughts of recruiting come to mind, he must still teach this brat to change his personality and recognize who the boss is.
Hence, Xu Han only imprisoned Shao Li's mental origin somewhere in his soul and created an illusion that Shao Li has to brave and conquer, breaking it step by step while learning all the information and cultivation techniques he had included in that illusionary world.
Shao Li's current state is similar to Xu Han's before he awakened; his body has excellent survival instincts and can function normally as a human.
All the gang members, including Shao Li, dispersed, heading in different directions until nobody was left.
Yu Xue saw everything from start to finish and couldn't wait to ask his master what he did or what technique he used to turn these ants into a walking robot.
Yu Xue blended deeper into the shadows, thinking, "I need to ask master what happened tonight and also ask about guidance with my recent bottlenecks. Come to think of it, I don't even know where he lives."
It's a Friday today, and Xu Han doesn't have classes for the next. two days as it is the weekend.
Xu Han already plans to visit some scenic places on this planet, and he may discover some hidden secrets.
