All of You (2)

Penelope's breath caught in her throat at Raven's words, her heart skipping a beat at the intensity of his gaze. They had only been married for a few weeks, and yet, he was able to surprise her with the profoundness of his affection, a depth she hadn't anticipated.

"Courting me, are you?" she replied, her tone light but her heart somersaulting in her chest.

"I suppose I should consider myself lucky then."

Raven's smile softened, the playful facade slipping away to reveal the sincerity in his gaze. He reached for her hand, his touch warm and grounding.

"You've always been the one for me, Penelope," he said softly, his thumb tracing gentle circles on the back of her hand. "And I will continue to show you just how much you mean to me every day."
