Vivian
“Blood pressure is good. Respiratory rate is normal.”
My whole body felt like I was stuffed in a pillow. Everything was muffled. Sound. Sensation. But I could hear a voice in the distance.
“She’ll be fine.” The voice was soft and caring. I knew that voice. It was too far away to place.
“Then why isn’t she awake?”
I felt a sigh ripple through me at the sound of the second voice. Deep and soothing, it filled me with a sense of safety and security. My mate.
“I…” an alien voice croaked in my ears.
“Vivian?” Finn’s voice was louder now, stronger.
I felt him take my hand. My senses got stronger and I closed my fingers around his.
“I’m… awake…” It felt like someone was sitting on my chest. I could barely inhale enough to speak. My voice was hoarse and didn’t sound like my own.
“Get her some water,” Finn ordered someone.
