Getting Into The Capital

"Do you think all of that is enough for a confession? What if no one believe this?" Ryker asked Solance. The young master of the Hal Family nodded.

"Because we used projection crystals to record their confession, then others would believe it. Especially coming from me. After all, Hal Family did not have any misgiving with the Uru Family, so there is no reason for me to lie.

Though, it still hard to believe they destroyed a town for no reason. I'm sorry for your loss, Miss Eralune," he bowed towards the blonde.

"It's alright. After all, you are not the reason the town was destroyed. In the end, it is the Uru that cause it all to happen," Era replied, not wanting the young master of the Hal Family to bow to her any longer.

Ryker let a snort, her displeasure and discomfort plain to him. He could understand it though, after all, he would not know how to react when other people suddenly bowed towards him for no reason.

"Let's continue our journey. When we get to the capital, I will invite all of you as my guest into the estate," Solance said as they continue their journey.

"Can we get in without any spies spotting us?" Ryker asked. They had stopped few kilometers from the gate, not near enough for the numerous Detection Formation to find them, but not far enough for them to not see what happened at the gate.

"It will be hard," Solance admitted. "We don't know who is under the Uru's payroll. They might even bribe the entire guards watching the gates for all we knew,"

"Don't your family the one in charge of the military? Surely they have some people in the guards," Mashia pointed out, remembering what he told them earlier.

The young master shook his head, "We have great influence in the military due to most of the members of the family joining in the military and the guards, but we don't have complete control over it. It just, while we have great influence over them, the Uru merely need to ask the guards to warn them if I appear, not apprehend me.

So, we cannot do anything about it," he said.

"In that case, are there any guards that utterly loyal to your Family, the one that come from the family that you can see. If yes, we can go through the gate and make contact with they," Miriam said, earning a thought from the white-haired man.

"That could work, but I need to be able to see the guards to tell if they are from the family. After all, I can't know every single member of the family. The Hal Family, including the branch families are large after all," he told them.

It's alright. We only need to know the gate we can make a move on. I already have a plan," Ryker said, earning a nod from Solance.

"Halt, who goes there?" a guard stopped Mashia, the blue-haired woman and Miriam being the one who will make contact.

"Oh ladies," the guard suddenly changed his tone, acting sleazy. If there are at a settlement with no Genesis Core experts, she would have crush the man immediately.

"What," she said coldly, though holding back from using her cultivation to suppress the guard.

"Why don't you and I get to know each other af-" a hand on his shoulder stop the guard, as even Miriam could hear the cracking of bones.

"Leave the women alone if you knew what is good for you," a voice said behind him.

The guard gulped as he slowly back off, fear in his eyes. "I understand captain. I'll go," he said ,leaving the two women alone.

The captain eyed the man until he truly left before he give them a little bow.

"I apologize for my subordinate for causing you discomfort," he said, earning him a point from the two women.

While the way he act is how most members of the Hal Family would act, as Solance told them, Miriam still need to make sure. She looked at the captain before finding the irrefutable proof.

'Excellent,' she thought, her eyes on the emblem of blue-colored bird, the insignia of the Hal Family.

"Mister, are you part of the Hal Family?" she pretended to ask, her eyes still staring at the emblem.

"Oh, so Miss noticed my insignia, why yes, I from the Hal Family," he said with great pride, confirming his identity.

"In that case, I am sure you are familiar with this saying, "For when a blue bird land,..."

"That's when victory is ... assu-" he was about to finish when the captain realize something wrong.

"How did-" he was cut off by Miriam, who pointed at his hand. The captain decide to do just that, feeling something in his palm just now.

Opening it, a piece of paper was on his hand. He opened it, eyes widening once more at the sight of the Hal's secret code, something only known by the Hal Family.

While he wants to interrogate the blonde woman, he refrain for now, as someone who used the secret code likely in trouble and there is a high chance the two women were send as messenger.

Reading it, his brows furrow before looking at the blonde.

"A friend of mine will come with a carriage. Make sure only Hal Family member get close to it. Oh, and I want to be protected by guards that is vetted by the Hal," she said.

The captain understand the veiled meaning of her latter sentence, the woman requesting for her to have guards from Hal Family to deal with her document, as well as her companion.

Seeing the importance of it, the captain nodded. After all, the secret code request any Hal Family member to follow the order of the woman in front of him.

A carriage soon reach the gate. Immediately, several guards was about to intercept it but was stopped when the captain himself when towards the carriage.

The action surprised the other guards until they felt the might of a Genesis Foundation expert coming from the carriage, allowing them to understand the reasoning of the man.

The carriage soon make their way into the stop inside the gate, where several men and women exit it, with the most eye-catching person being the man with dual-colored hair.

He looked at the captain with his silver eyes before pointing into the carriage, "There still something left for you to take, captain," the man nodded before looking inside the carriage.

A shock gasp almost come out from him, barely stopped as the person inside put a finger on his lip.

"Captain," Solance Hal said, "Please get us to the Hal Estate,"
