Negotiation With Higher-Ups

"So, you claim you possess the knowledge of a Secret Realm close to the capital, and you have the key to it," the Baron repeat what the Elder of Hal Family told him beforehand.

"One of the key," Ryker corrected the man. After all, he could not be blame if there is no treasure there, though Ryker highly doubt anyone manage to find the Secret Realm, less of all, the treasures.

"One of the key. Are you implying there are more of them?" the Captain asked, his eyes boring into Ryker's soul.

"Yes," the silver-eyed man answered truthfully. "However, it is very unlikely the Secret Realm is opened beforehabd," he continued.

"How are you so certain?" the General asked this time.

"From what I witness, opening the first secret Realm, which is a smaller, cause wordly phenomenons. Even the small Secret Realm, which is a part of a bigger one, could cause a worldy phenomenon that can be seen from few kilometres radius.

For an even bigger Secret Realm, it would definitely cause an even bigger phenomenon," he explained, earning satisfied nod from the Captain and General.

"Oh, it seem you have explore a Secret Realm before. The way you said it, it seem the Secret Realm you visited in the past is connected to this one," the Grand Advisor said, earning a wry smile from him.

He had heard of how smart the Grand Advisor is but he did not expect him to be this sharp, able to make a correct guess from the little slip up he made.

Not wanting to prolong the story, he decided to answer truthfully.

"Yes. In fact, I learn of the existence of the Secret Realm from the one I visited. Both Secret Realm come from the same expert, just something happened causing the Secret Realm to break apart into smaller pieces,"

"I see," the Baron said. "Might as well. If it is a true Secret Realm, we could not keep its existence hidden anyway," the other soon nodded as well. While they thought it was a pity, in the end, it is the best for their nation.

After all, if the sign of a Secret Realm suddenly appeared in their Barony, their home will be turned into a battlefield, no doubt about it.

"And, in return for giving us the key, you have several requests," the leader of the Barony said, though Ryker find it necessary to correct the man.

"I will not give the key, but I will open the Secret Realm," he correct the Baron, earning confused expressions from the Genesis Source experts gathered in the room.

"You don't trust us?" the elder of Miri Family, asked to which Ryker give a light laugh.

"You have already earnedy trust when you try to discuss it instead of trying to force me to give the key," he replied with a smug smirk.

"It just, the Secret Realm I enter not only gave the key to enter this secret Realm, but also gave me the mark that prove and allow me to open the Secret Realm and allo others to enter as well," he show the back of his hand, before a mark appeared, one of a large slab hitting the ground, or what it looked like.

"I see, so, in return for opening and allowing the elites of the Barony to enter the Secret Realm, you want us to fulfill your request," the Baron exclaimed, earning a nod from Ryker as he spoke,

"We are here to negotiate after all," the other make a humming sound, seeing nothing wrong with it. After all, he did offer them great benefits. As long as the request is not too hard, they would likely be able to complete.

"My first request is allowing myself and several others of my choosing to enter the Secret Realm," Ryker named his first condition.

"Not a problem. After all, you are the one that obtained this opportunities so it make sense for you to be allowed to pick someone to join with you as well," the Baron said, agreeing with the first condition in a heartbeat.

"Second one, I want the destruction of the Uru Family," Ryker named the request he knew will likely not be accepted by the higher-ups.

Sure enough, the Hilus Family elder stood up, "I have to disagree with such condition. The Uru Family is a 1st Tier Family and their destruction could cause havoc to the capital," not to mention havoc would cause the economy to suffer though no one else pointed out such thing.

Ryker merely smile before throwing a projection crystal to the Baron, at the same time as the elder of Hal Family did the same to the other higher-ups.

The two watched as the other Genesis Source expert see the projection. By the end of it, the Baron's face is bright red with fury.

"The Uru, will die," he said without hesitation. No one spoke against such decision, not even the elder of Hilus Family.

"Are there anything else?" the Baron asked once his rage began to shimmer down.

To be honest, Ryker did not have any request. The opportunities of the Secret Realm, along with the destruction of the Uru is more than enough for him.

However, since the Baron asked, he will be impolite to refuse.

"In that case, how about something from the people inside this room?" it might seem like a presumptuous request, but he expected to be rejected and then could negotiate for something else.

Though, the response he gets was surprising to say the very least.

"Sure,"

"No problem from me,"

"I see no reason to not do so,"

"Of course,"

"It's a fair exchange,"

"I already agreed from the beginning,"

"In that case, we will agree with such request, though you have to be more specific," the Baron said.

'You are not supposed to agree so easily!' he screamed inside his head though outside, he was the picture of calmness.

"In that case, I will ask three things from each one of you," he said, causing some of the people in front of him to grumble about greedy youngster.

He ignored them, knowing the opportunity to gain such wealth did not come easily.

"First, 6 months worth of resources for Genesis Core experts per person. Second, one treasures of different affinities, one I will tell you afterwards, and finally," this is the request that would get the worst reaction from them, of it he has no doubt,"

"5 percent of all the resources gathered by each factions,"
