Guild meeting or party? Part 3

Ana is surprised, she doesn't seem to understand and doesn't even realize it and lets slip about the day she saw him with Caroline: 

 "What do you mean? You've got Caroline as your girlfriend, I can only be your friend, God, I hope she doesn't see this now!" 

She quickly removes her hands from his face, afraid that Caroline might arrive at any moment, and misunderstand the situation, Scoot then quickly speaks: 

 "Huh? Girlfriend? She's not my girlfriend! Where did you get that from?" 

Ana doesn't realize what's happened but then stops herself: 

 "What do you mean? I saw it, it was that day you were kissing in the Guild room... Oops..." 

Scoot is surprised and asks: 

 "You saw? But it was only for Luke to see... she wanted to make him jealous, not to screw me over... how angry. 

He runs a hand through his hair, as if he's very angry, and thinks: 

 (Hell, I tried to help her...and I ended up giving you a bad impression of me). 

Ana tries to calm him down, but doesn't know what to say at the moment, but before she can think about what to say, Scoot sits down on the lounger next to her and says: 

 "Ana, first of all, I don't like Caroline, I didn't want to give you that impression of me, really, I LIKE you, it's you I like!" 

Ana's eyes widen in total surprise, she tries to understand, but seems very confused, she's never received any kind of confession of love, and she didn't even imagine that this could really happen, someone liking her, she thinks it's very unlikely. She tries to play it off and says: 

 "Oh, it's okay, I understood you were helping her, I misunderstood then, I'm the one who should apologize to you, I invaded your privacy...even though I didn't want to, or rather it's okay Scoot, it just indicates that you're good to her, in trying to help her...that is....a good friend..." 

Scoot notices that Ana seems to be very confused, that perhaps she hasn't understood what he really meant, he smiles and puts his finger to Ana's lips, signaling her to stop talking: 

 "Shh...let me try to explain better...I like you and your way, you're true to what you say and believe in, maybe you're a bit innocent, while that can be good it can also be bad, many people will get close to you, to hurt you, or even take advantage of you...you need to be more aware of that Ana..." 

Scoot stops for a moment and is completely honest with Ana: 

 "I confess that I was also going to approach you with interest, because my father ordered me to come to you, and invite you to join my team at the Test, because your family is powerful, and it would be an excellent engagement, etc, I know you must be thinking that I'm a terrible person saying this, but just like you, I'm not the one who chooses what I want to do, I just have to obey, it's the same with you, Ana, it was imposed on you to do something, I didn't want this whole situation for us, but really, believe me, I didn't have to go after you, you showed up that day in the abandoned shed, I really realized that I fell in love with you from day one. ...sorry for the long speech...but I really want you to give me a chance, to be something more than just your friend." 

It's a mixture of emotions that Ana is feeling, at the same time she feels sad, insecure, and in fact the word innocent has weighed a little more heavily, she really hates people thinking she's "innocent", or that she's a fool, she needs to improve a lot of things about herself, and finally be able to feel safe, and choose to do what she wants, but that can't be achieved overnight, her 15 years seem to be the most confusing days, what weighs her down the most is her insecurity, she doesn't feel safe with her abilities and her power, and mastery of the 4 elements, she's afraid that this could lead to another accident, not that she doesn't know, she just refused to use them, and perfect them, but this has changed since she started her training with the Becker's and with Mr. Han, she feels very close to them.
