Chapter 11

Hansel felt himself being woken forcefully. He woke to see Nathan, he seemed relieved to see him awake. "Are you alright?" he asked him.

"Why'd you ask?" Hansel replied. He didn't respond positively nor did he respond negatively.

"Your magic was tearing down the city," Nathan responded. "I fixed it, but still something is wrong, especially with the presence of another."

Hansel didn't reply. "I would like to be alone," he said before quietly adding, "Please."

Nathan got up and left as per his request. As much as he doesn't want to do so, he knows Hansel wants his privacy.

Once the door was shut, Hansel sat up and covered his face. Felix had already set up rumors of his reincarnation in a different world. He either hopes for the best, which is that no one believes the rumors, and goes on about their day, but that isn't possible because there is magic involved. So he has to prepare for the worst, a bunch of demon clans and wannabe heroes wanting to fight him and possibly kill him for their greater good.

He was panicking a little bit. He quickly calmed himself. Panicking would do nothing, and doing nothing would get him and Jamie killed. He can't, no he doesn't want to be Demon King, he has a responsibility, which is taking care of Jamie.

Jamie is his only weakness.

He doesn't know what to do.

After collecting himself, he gets out of bed to meet Nathan who is waiting for him outside. Before he could say anything, he was pulled into a warm hug. "What's this for?" Hansel asked in surprise.

"Stop keeping your pain to yourself," Nathan said.

Hansel is tempted to cry but he doesn't. "I'm fine," he said pushing Nathan away from himself.

Nathan frowned, he looked very troubled. Hansel sighed smiling. "Bend down a bit," he said.

Nathan raises an eyebrow in confusion but complies. Hansel gives him a little kiss on the lips, a little shy one.

Nathan blinks in surprise. He wasn't expecting that. "Don't worry too much about me... I'll be fi--"

Nathan pulls Hansel in for a deeper kiss. Hansel made a sound of surprise. When Nathan released him, he saw a giant scowl on Hansel's face. "Satisfied?" he asked pissed off.

Nathan gave him a cheeky grin. 'No,' he thought, but he didn't reply. He craves more, but he will push Hansel further away if he takes it. "Whether I worry about you or not is my business," he said. "Don't tell me how to feel."

Hansel sighed and then shrugged. "Whatever," he said.

In the other world...

The other world is divided into three realms. Terra, Himmel, and Abyss; Earth, Heaven, and Hell respectively.

After the First War, the well-known Golden Knight snapped after the death of the renowned Demon General Baal and waged war against all three realms and won.

Centuries later rumors of the Demon General being reincarnated in a different world began to steep as beautifully as Felix anticipated.

There was no one more interested in this than the Himmel Realm and the Abyssal Realm. The return of the Demon General would mean a new Demon King would be made and this wouldn't be good for the balance of their world.

You see, despite the war and the Golden Knight incident, there was an imbalance in power. A war broke out within the realms, with people fighting for different spots. The Himmel Realm settled on a new leader, Terra signed peace treaties across the countries and continents, and the Abyssal Realm was divided by the many sons of the past Demon King into clans.

A new Demon King could bring an imbalance to their world. The peace they've worked on would be destroyed in a second if the Demon King decided to wage war on all the realms.

The Abyssal Realm wasn't happy with this. If this new Demon King decides to wage war against them, they will surely lose, and they are spending most of their resources on bringing the Golden Knight to justice.

Well, the various leaders of the Demon Clans in the Abyssal Realm weren't happy about this so-called rumor either, if Baal does return, he would surely take back the throne. But at the same time, some clan leaders were happy.

Under his rule, the clans would be united once more and they would become one kingdom again.

So far, he's mostly wanted, unwanted, and dead. Either way, both realms are preparing to either bring down the Demon General or bring him back.

Nighttime in Terra...

The Museum of Artifacts is home to several war artifacts owned by various warriors and powerful beings, including the sheathed steel sword Baal used in battle. When it was found it was surprisingly in one piece.

It's been centuries since the war ended and the sword hasn't been unsheathed since the last time because it simply can't be unsheathed, like there was a passcode to unsheathing it.

A security guard was patrolling with an oil lamp in hand. He saw several figures in the dark. "People are not supposed to be here after closing time," he said, but there was no response.

So he pointed the lamp in their direction. He gasped in surprise. "De-Demo--" Before he could finish, his head was sliced in half.

They couldn't afford to get caught. These demons were handpicked by the demon clans in support of bringing the Demon General back to become Demon King. They were asked to hand deliver his sword to him and try to convince him to return.

They got the sword out, not paying attention to the fact that there was a trigger in the alarm system.

They remain calm. "Begin the spell."
