The Black Star Monarch

After a few minutes, Xun stepped back from the beast. Blood and flesh stuck to the fur around his mouth as he looked up at Li Jun with his big, round eyes. He looked pleased with himself.

"Thank you." Li Jun said as he approached the beast's corpse again and pulled out his sword.

He made a long slice down its belly; this time, it didn't move. It seemed that Xun's hard work had paid off. It was safe to touch. After gutting the beast, he looked inside its corpse and saw a shining black stone slightly above where its heart was.

He reached his hand inside and pulled out the stone, which was around the size of his thumbnail. It was bigger than the last one but undeniably a beast core.

'This is amazing, ' he thought as a smile slid across his lips. Not only did I get some throwing weapons from it, but it actually had a beast core.'

This is bad.
