5 minutes later

*Slam*

"WHO??"

A white-haired crazed old mana ran out, wearing all white and pupils darting left to right as if trying to find out who stole his last bit of spirit stone

The woman came out behind him and pointed at Rio

"…?"

Before Rio could even react, the old man was in front of him, this made Rio's pupils dilate and his body freeze from shock before he managed to snap out of it and jump back

But as Rio jumped back the old man caught up to me whilst Rio was still in the air, he even had time to circle around Rio and end up behind him

"Don't fear young one, my name is Cedric Mevad, I'm not here to harm you, I apologize if I scared you, I got too excited" he cleared his throat and spoke in a nice and friendly tone as if he was talking to a grandson he hasn't seen in a year

"Is this about the potion?" Rio squinted his eyes and asked, ready to release powerful origin magic if need be

Rio didn't even have time to acknowledge everyone's attention shifted to them with curious and worried gazes as they mumbled to one another

"Well, of course, what else would I be out here for, I want to discuss the potion, but I think we can have a better setting than this," the man said as he looked around

It didn't seem like he had bad intentions and if he wanted to attack Rio, he would have, so Rio nodded and decided to follow him through the back door of the reception

After a minute of walking and going up the stairs, they reached a relatively large office

The old man entered the office and sat down behind his desk while gesturing with his hands that Rio should sit across from him

Rio sat down, and looked at him, after a couple of seconds of silence, Rio wouldn't say awkward, but a tense atmosphere, both of them were analyzing the other and Cedric pulled out the three potions from under his desk

"May I ask you who your master is?" He said cautiously as if he may offend Rio

"No" Rio gave a quick and snappy reply, but he didn't seem displeased, disappointed maybe

"From what I can tell, these are the Explosive Potion, Impervious Potion, and a rehabilitation potion, all these can't even be bought due to how rare these are, they all estimate around the cost of 10,000 High-Grade Stone, but in the auction, you could probably get more"

Rio nodded with satisfaction at his statement but his heart just skipped a beat, at that point, wouldn't he just buy everything at the auction?

"Should I take this as putting them up for auction?"

"Yes" Rio nodded

His lips twitched as if trying forcefully suppress a smile, so he presumed to raise his right hand to cover his mouth and then proceed to stroke his beard in one smooth movement

"Could I take your name then Mr…"

'Ahh, I didn't think of a name' Rio thought before struggling and telling him his real name

"Rio Casmir, I'd prefer if you keep my name discreet," Rio said, realizing he was doing a 1-on-1 and he probably wouldn't spread his name since he probably wants to curry favor with the so-called "master" behind Rio

"Understood, Rio, you can call me Cedric," he said as he handed Rio a black card " As long as it's within one of our Myriad Auction Houses, this card is able to give you 30% off any item, you can also store some spirit stones in it and withdraw at also any Myriad Auction House, I already put your 100 Medium Spirit Stones in the card"

"100? Rio thought it was 95?" He asked wondering if they waved off the tax because he was sort of a VIP now, normally he wouldn't have the question and just went, and to confirm his guess

"Ahh yes, VVIPs are exempted from tax on small items, and on high prices selling we only take 1% instead of 5% to make our VVIPS happy" he explained with a smile

"Uhh, to be honest, I want to know if I could get paid upfront and use the payment for the potion to balance it out, I'm also going to participate in the auction"

"Ahh, of course, that's fine, I can put 300,000 High Spirit stones in the card since that's how much I estimated them for

They exchanged contact details, so when the money is ready or anything happens he can contact Rio, or when Rio had something to sell, he can contact Cedric

After discussing for a while Rio's new business friend Cedric walked him out, everyone was surprised to see this

"Who is that kid that managed to grab Master Medvas's attention"

"I know right, he even walked him out"

"Try to find out who that kid is"

A minor disorder ensued before calming down due to Cedric's warning

'That's done and settled with" Now Rio just waited until the auction arrived and he basically had more than enough funds to buy whatever he wanted in the auction, this is going to be fun Rio thought as he returned back to the academy making sure no one is following him

But of course, how could it be so easy, Rio just stepped out of the auction house and he could already feel at least 6 people hiding, 'I'll just lose them, no need to cause unnecessary trouble'

After an hour Rio finally lost them and returned to his manor, before he walked in he seemed to have noticed he had gotten a letter in his mailbox just at his gate

Rio took it and went inside his manor and opened it

'Dear Senior Brother Rio,

I've had my eyes on you for a while and right now I'm just using all my courage to let you see my feelings, please meet me at the library if you think there's any chance of anything happening

Sincerely, Matilda Hyuser'

'Courage? You're writing a letter and there's nothing happening I was about to scrunch up the letter when I saw the last name of the writer, Hyuser? Why does that sound so familiar, Hyuser….Hyuser, Husker? Isn't she related to Lara, well not any of my business Rio scoffed and scrunched it up and tossed it in the trash

Rio went up to my room and started cultivating once again, biding his time until the auction starts
