Joy stood there, perhaps not expecting such a strong reaction from me. Monica quickly came over, picked up the sobbing Angel, glanced at Joy, and then pulled me outside.

Back at Monica's place, I was still trembling and couldn't stop vomiting. Having not eaten anything, I was throwing up bile, a bitter, greenish liquid.

Angel stayed by my side, her big eyes brimming with tears as she looked at me anxiously, "Mommy, find daddy!"

I pulled her into my arms, repeatedly soothing her, "Sweetie, mommy's here! Mommy will always be here!" I couldn't tell her that she might lose her father from now on.

Once I had calmed down, I made a call to Brooklyn to consult on a few issues, then asked Monica to arrange a few things for me. Right now, Monica was the only person I could trust and rely on.

Monica had been holding my bag, and thankfully, she had packed all the important things for me.
