I had to suppress my anger, especially with so many people watching. I couldn't afford to cause a scene.
"Grace, look at your temper," George said, reaching out to grab me. I quickly dodged, and his hand grasped at air. He looked momentarily stunned, glanced around at the onlookers, and then awkwardly stuffed his hand into his pocket.
"Everything can be discussed. If we successfully complete these two big projects, we'll have a solid foothold in G City. Why struggle alone? I'm telling you, no matter how strong a woman is, she's still a woman. Why make things so hard? Wouldn't it be better to work together with me?"
"You should focus on your own life. I don't need your concern!" I said, trying to brush him off again, feeling increasingly disgusted.
