The Show Is About to Begin

Vivian knew about the event and volunteered to accompany me, but I declined. Knowing her, she was eager to stir things up. I told Vivian Harris that it wasn't necessary; they could ruin their own reputations without our involvement.

Vivian reluctantly agreed.

I brought Luna with me instead. Luna was an old hand at ElevateBuild, and I knew she could handle anything without needing explicit instructions.

The one-month celebration was lively, packed with people. George, beaming from ear to ear, was at the door greeting guests.

As soon as Sam's car pulled up, George rushed down the steps and opened the door. "Grace..."

But seeing only Luna and me, his face showed a hint of displeasure. "Where's my daughter?"

I gave him a calm, gentle look and said, "Let's not overdo it. Even if she's not here, everyone knows you have both a son and a daughter."

He adjusted his emotions and smiled. "Well, come on in."
