“I’m sure she wasn’t feeling sorry when she’s all up on my husband last night!”

When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. But there she was, anger, betrayal, and sadness washed over her all at once as she stared at her husband and the woman who had the same dark brown eyes and dark hair as her. They looked almost identical...?

That same night, she stumbled onto the beach and before she knew it, she was sitting across the table from her high school ex, Caleb, looking down at the terms of their marriage contract that he drafted up hastily. 

Fuelled by anger and betrayal by the people she once loved, Alexandra knew she had to take things into her own hands. Together with Caleb, they plot her revenge.

“Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces.

“Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. 

Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.”

“Well, they can’t just -”

“Hey, hey listen.”

He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” 

A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.”

“How so?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

My Husband Cheated On Me So I'm Marrying My Ex

Alexandra immediately recognised the long blonde hair and that pair of striking dark green eyes.

It was Elisha, Caleb's ex-lover. It was the same girl she had met at the wedding just yesterday, the memories from then still fresh in her mind.

A frown quickly found its spot on her face as she watched Elisha waltz over from the other side of the restaurant and casually slide into the seat next to Caleb as if Alexandra was invisible, like she didn't exist.

"You didn't come back for your cousin's wedding, we missed you," Elisha said as she looked over at Caleb, trying desperately to grab his attention. Her voice was an octave higher than usual as she batted her eyelashes at him, her high-pitched voice grating to her ears. The side of her body was now pressed against Caleb, leaving practically zero gap between them.

There was a smug look plastered on her face as she locked eyes with Alexandra, interlocking her arm with Caleb's.
