When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. “Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces.

“Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. 

Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.”

“Well, they can’t just -”

“Hey, hey listen.”

He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” 

A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.”

“How so?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

A look of pure shock and surprise crossed their faces when they looked down to see Elisha standing on the forest ground, waving back at them. She had this huge grin that was plastered across her face and her eyes twinkled with delight when they locked gaze.

"I'm coming up now!" She announced when they weren't saying anything. Her voice was full of excitement as she carefully made her way up those old wooden steps on the ladder, creaking underneath her soles with each step she took.

Alexandra turned to look at Caleb with wide eyes and parted lips. He looked just as surprised as she was, his features mirroring hers. Silence enveloped them both as they tried to register the scene that was unfolding before their eyes. "What is she doing here?" Alexandra mouthed to Caleb who only shrugged.
