We can see that Rey, who just walked out of the building, started to walk toward his house.
He was still wondering why Aiden told him to bring these items and why they were in such large quantities, as he was certain that the center not going to store such old weapon pieces for now.
Even though the weapons looked new enough, there was a problem, which he was contemplating when he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"I forgot, how could I?"
Rey said, as all three of them didn't understand what he had forgotten. But what would happen to them? Nothing.
[Stealth], He used his skill and dashed toward his house with all the speed he could muster.
In less than twenty minutes, he was in front of his home, and fear came true as Emmy, who he was supposed to get home today was sitting in front of her home door. She was looking at the sky when her eyes fell on her brother, who had just canceled his stealth skill.
He was gasping for air, as if he had run a marathon, and he did, but no one knew, as no one saw him running, just huge amount of air flowing onto the pedestrians.
"Brother, where were you? I was waiting for you for so long." Emmy asked him as she came in front of him and handed him her water bottle to refresh himself from the excessive running he did to get there.
"Hah~~~Hahhh~~! Sorry, Emmy. I got stuck at work and came here as fast as I could, so please don't worry."
"No, I am fine, but I worried that something might have happened to you, as I was just about to call mother."
"No, you can't call her right now. Just remove it from your mind that I was late and be normal, okay? Your brother is fine, and I don't want you to disturb her at work."
"No, I have to call her to inform her of everything that happened here, as she told me to."
"No, you can't... hmmm. Fine, tell me how much you need to keep your mouth shut."
"Hmm... well, I think a few pieces of pastries, a big hamburger, one pizza, and a cold drink would be fine..... Oh no, just a big hamburger and one cold drink will suffice." She told him as she remembered that her brother wouldn't have this much money, and even if he did, he wouldn't have much left for himself. So, she reduced her demand.
Rey, who saw her reducing the demand, was first surprised and then realized that she thought he might not have enough money to buy them. He got a sweet little smile on his face after seeing his sister's maturity in thinking about his condition first.
"Sorry, Emmy, I won't be able to buy you even these two things because..."
Rey stopped in his tracks, which made her realize her mistake.
"Oh no, then it's okay. Where are you running off to? We can solve this matter later."
Emmy said as she walked inside the house after getting the key without any complaint.
"Kid, why did you not agree to buy her the things she asked for? Don't you have enough money to buy thousands of these things? You made her sad, but I have to say that your little sister is much more mature than she seems." Victor, who saw her going back, said.
"Oh, what the hell are you talking about? Just shut up and let me do some errands." Rey said as he first went inside his house and told Emmy, who was putting her bag inside the room on the upper floor.
"Emmy, I am going to run a small errand outside the house and will be back in a few minutes, so don't go outside. After that, we will have some lunch."
Rey shouted as he went outside the house and used his stealth skill to dash away secretly.
He first reached the convenience store to buy some items. After paying the bills and taking the items, he stuffed them into his inventory and started heading toward another store, which had a decent amount of people there.
He waited for a few minutes until it was his turn to order and told the worker there the things he wanted.
After waiting for a few minutes, the worker brought his items. He paid the charge for the items and, after coming out of the shop, also stuffed them into his inventory.
He then dashed toward his house, reaching it in just a few minutes.
"Phew! This took way longer than I expected."
He said as he brought out all the items and started to act like he brought them quickly. He even canceled his stealth skill.
He then went inside his house and started to set the food onto the table. After setting everything up, he called her downstairs.
Emmy, who was a little dejected but tried to hide it, came downstairs and, without even seeing the food served in front of her, sat at the table.
Rey, surprised that she didn't notice the food he served for her, passed a glass of something. Emmy, who was looking down, saw his action and held the glass. Just as she took the first sip, she realized that it was neither water nor juice.
She finally looked at the food she hadn't noticed before and was shocked to see the items she had asked for set on the table.
She even thought that this might be a dream and rubbed her eyes and pinched herself to see if it was reality or not.
But it was true, as Victor, who first asked him the question, was also happy to find that the host they chose wasn't a greedy guy.
"Well, you really are a wonderful brother," Victor said as he went back into the white space to relax.
He saw Emmy giving a hug to Rey with joy for buying her so much of her favorite food.
But her question came straight as she had just taken a single bite of the food.
"Brother, where did you get this much money from?"
Rey, who was happy until now, got silent but he was ready and expecting this type of question to which he replied,
"Oh, no worries. Just eat your fill, as this is a treat for my little sister and mom with the money, I saved from all the part-time jobs I did."
Emmy first looked at him suspiciously, but when he put the pastries in front of her, she forgot about it and started to eat to her heart's content. Rey, seeing it, was happy to see his sister finally happy after so much time.
Even a mountain of treasures can't compare with the joy and happiness brought by you to your family's face.
"Brother, should I leave something for mother? I think she should also have some treats once in a while," Emmy said as she started to put aside one of the pastries she had left.
"No need, as I already have mother's share of food here," he said as he pointed toward the kitchen slipper on which there were a few boxes of pastries and other food items.
Emmy, who saw it, then happily picked up her pastry and ate it.
She was finally full after eating the food. She then went to her room, fell flat onto her bed, and didn't move after that.
Rey who watched, just smiled and didn't say anything as he also went to his room to rest until his mother came back.
