Chapter 83

We grab something to eat and once we finish and head back to the table, I take a seat next to Evan and Rowan takes the seat that's on the other side of me. Evan takes my hand in his from under the table and interlocks them, giving mine a tight squeeze.

We talk for what feels like ages. Surprisingly, Carlina tells a few stories about her childhood after Alex forced her to leave our small rogue pack. I didn't think she would be able to talk about it, but she seems to be holding up well. Rowan and Lily talk about their time growing up together without me. How, ever since Rowan was old enough, he would lead and organize search parties almost every day. They both grew up seeing each other more as siblings instead of cousins. Lastly, Evan and I talk about our childhoods. How hard some instances were, and how we made it through everything life threw our way.
