The cold metal of the room bore into her skin, the chill in the air reminded her of the hell she had once escaped from. She should have known, she wasn't going to ever get out of here. Slowly she sat up, her brown hair only just below her shoulders unlike the last time she was here, it was clean and not a matted mess. Her bones were not as exposed anymore, she had gained some weight, her skin didn't have the horrid scars all over them and she wasn't in the blue paper dress.
These were the only indicators that her life outside this hell was real and not a dream.
The room she was in was made out of metal, a small bucket in the corner and a very thin blanket in the other, this was her cage, the place she was kept. On the side where the door was was chains, a place she would be hung up and left to starve for weeks as a punishment for an experiment not going right. This is where she had spent most of her life, in this cage that the men in white called a room.
Slowly a loud creek sounded through the room, her body trembling at the familiar, horrifying sound. Then came the footsteps, the heavy, loud footsteps that made her blood tremble and freeze over.
"A7S54." A male voice sounded, a voice she knew all too well, a voice which haunted her dreams. "Welcome home." This man was the head doctor of the facility, the man who called himself 'Doctor Will' even though that was not his name in the first place. "Did you have fun?"
The child slowly raised her eyes, the fear in her veins causing her ability to activate again, however the glasses the man had on refused to allow her ability to work on him. Doctor Will looked to be in his early twenties, his black hair went down his back in a braid and his golden eyes which were hidden behind those glasses reminded her of a snake, an animal she had only found out existed while spending time with Chuuya, her mama.
Miyo wanted to go home…
"A7S54." The man's once gentle voice turned cold. "Did you have fun?"
She took a shaking breath, trying to remember what Kunikida had taught her about pronouncing her words properly before speaking. "Y-yes." Her voice trampled with every letter that fell out of her mouth.
Doctor Will nodded and hummed, thinking for a moment before crouching before the child and grabbing her chin. "You did run away and kill half our staff, so I think a punishment is needed."
The child started to cry, the tears rolling down her cheeks and her hands clenched, her blunt nails digging into the delicate skin.
The man smiled. "That is, unless you can tell me where the others are.." He said softly, trying to coax the information from the child. "Tell me where they are and I won't give you The punishment."
Miyo stared at him for a moment, tears still rolling down her cheeks, however she kept her mouth shut. Even if she did have that information, she wasn't going to give it to him. She would rather be killed.
The man threw her to the ground and stood with a shake of his head. "You five year olds are really, really annoying." He said bitterly.
"You have one role to play and you won't even do it, you're meant to be a unit to take down the hunting dogs if they ever got power hungry and yet you run away!?" Doctor Will raised his voice, yelling at the crying child who was lying limp on the floor. "You're all so god damn useless!!" With a kick to the girl's stomach the doctor left, leaving the child to cry alone.
Miyo wasn't crying due to pain, anger, or fear. The new feeling of loneliness crept up on her as she curled up into a ball on the hard, metal floor.
"I want to g-go h-home.." She sobbed quietly, eyes squeezed shut tightly.
*****
Her body was numb, her eyes were dazed as she stared at the metal ceiling, her breathing slow and steady, she could feel it. Her body being sliced open and her organs being removed and placed into bowls of warm water. She would feel it all. This was her punishment for running away and acting like a normal child, this was her punishment for wanting a family.
One wrong move and the child could die.
"A7S54, is there anything you'd like to apologise for while I'm here?" Doctor will asked with a demonic smile on his face, he found the pain of a small, five year old child amusing.
The brunette girl didn't say a word, didn't move a muscle. She had nothing to say.
The man sighed and shook his head, disappointed with how this was going. "Fine, fine. You'll be like this for two hours, try not to die, I don't want to raise another brat." His voice was cold and harsh as he left the room.
Miyo continued to stare at the metal roof of the room they had transferred her to, she didn't know how long it had been since she was dragged back to this hell now, a week?
No, it was too short to be a week..
A few days?
Two days?
Oh well, it didn't matter anymore, it wasn't like she was getting out of here. Her eyes slowly closed as she continued to think, wondering if her mama, Chuuya was worried about her, if he even noticed she had disappeared, If Mackerel and Spero would be okay without her. She wondered if Chuuya would be able to get all the money back for Kouyou for the dresses and clothes.
"It was nice while it lasted.." She mumbled, she had had fun, but now she was back here to feel more pain. She hoped that Chuuya and everyone else would be happy even if she wasn't there, it's not like she was important anyways..
"I miss you… mama" she mumbled weakly, her eyes slowly opening again, proving that once again this isn't some nightmare, this was real and she was never going to see Chuuya or Dazai again. The tears filled her eyes again and the silent crying started for the thirty second time.
