Lecturing The Growing Up Boys (Par6)

Upon noticing Huo Tianzhou's movements from the corner of her eyes, Liang Hongyu's lips twitched slightly and she clicked her tongue in response.

"It's so delicate as porcelain, it seemed it would be hard to maintain," she muttered softly.

Her clucking sound was brief and soft.

However, since Huo Tianzhou had lost the ability to speak, he had become particularly sensitive to external sounds.

Upon hearing this, his eyebrows furrowed momentarily before relaxing, and he fell silent while pursued his lips.

Sensing his sudden mood changes, Liang Hongyu glanced at Huo Tianzhou.

Her gaze didn't linger on his face for too long as she turned her head slightly towards the stove and tilted her chin upwards, reminding him, "Add more firewood."

Huo Tianzhou held half a dry twig in his hand.

Upon hearing her words, he subconsciously pushed the twig forward, only then realizing that the fire inside was already burning brightly.

Huo Tianzhou: "..."

He tossed the twig in, watching it burn down quickly, feeling his arm getting scalded in the process.

When he turned his head to see that Liang Hongyu showed no sign of stopping, he gently moved his hand to hint at her.

Before the bruises could fully dissipate, Liang Hongyu noticed his stoic endurance and eased her grip on Huo Tianzhou's hand.

As she withdrew, her hand inadvertently brushed over something unusual.

She moved her fingers upward and Huo Tianzhou winced slightly, his brows furrowing in pain.

The agony in his eyes flickered briefly before he attempted to pull his hand away nonchalantly.

Liang Hongyu's expression shifted slightly as she pushed up his entire sleeve, revealing shocking bruises on his arm that were exposed to the air.

Liang Hongyu had endured many injuries in the apocalypse and witnessing even the most severe wounds without blinking an eye.

Now, observing Huo Tianzhou's elbow, swollen and bruised from a fall, with various scrapes nearby, some scabbed over and others still inflamed, the sight was unsettling.

Huo Tianzhou didn't expect Liang Hongyu's reaction.

He glanced at his injured arm, looking away disapprovingly and didn't take it seriously.

Liang Hongyu estimated the timing of his injury and asked, "Do you fall when you were carrying me down the mountain?"

Huo Tianzhou hesitated to bring it up, he staying quiet for a moment before Liang Hongyu inferred the answer from his silence.

It had rained heavily that day, and the mountain path was difficult to walk on the raining day.

Huo Tianzhou had braved the rain to find Liang Hongyu and safely carry her down the mountain.

You can imagine difficult it was.

If Liang Hongyu hadn't noticed his injury, Huo Tianzhou wouldn't have mentioned it.

His reasons were clear enough.

Their family was already burdened with enough troubles; he wouldn't trouble her with such "minor" matters.

Yet, despite the severity of his injuries, he remained silent, not uttering a word even when Liang Hongyu rubbed medicinal wine on his arm moments ago.

Buying medicine was too expensive, and if someone in the village had a minor injury or a bruise, no one would make a fuss unless it was serious.

Huo Tianzhou himself didn't seem to care much, so Liang Hongyu naturally wouldn't do much either.

Besides, they currently lacked the means to properly treated his wounds.
