Chapter 107: Spider Man In Action

Several people at the observation point were watching the scene below through their binoculars. They all fell silent.

These folks were experienced—they had seen and fought in big battles. But even with their experience, they were stunned by what they saw.

Their brains couldn't process the images. The scenes below clashed so violently with what they had learned about the world that it was like their minds short-circuited.

Compared to the high-level experts, the on-site minions felt like they were seeing a ghost.

The guy in the tights looked so skinny that he seemed like he wouldn't stand a chance against their street gangs. And the baby-like figure in pajamas seemed less threatening compared to Batman's mysterious appearance.

But this guy was dancing through their gunfire.

Actually, "dancing" wasn't the right word. He moved more like a skilled gymnast, flipping and bouncing gracefully while bullets whizzed dangerously close to him.

It was as if every bullet was deliberately avoiding him.

Everyone knew what they were seeing, but it felt completely illogical.

The man dodged every bullet, one after another.

Was this even possible for a human—or any living being?

In reality, "a hail of bullets" is often an exaggeration. Even though rifles fire quickly, they don't create a wall of bullets like a storm. To most people, the fast-moving bullets looked like an impenetrable barrier, but to Spider-Man, it wasn't so bad.

He could clearly see the path of each bullet, making it easier for him to dodge. Plus, street gangsters aren't known for their accuracy. With overheating barrels and limited ammo, their firing was intermittent, giving Spider-Man plenty of room to dodge and even taunt.

"Hey, buddy, are you trying to shoot the birds instead of me?"

"Seriously, man, haven't you had breakfast?"

"Wow, you missed again. But gotta admit—your gun's pretty nice. Keep practicing..."

The gangsters couldn't hear his taunts over the deafening gunfire, but they felt ridiculed. No one dared to get angry, though. They realized they were up against something they couldn't understand, which only filled them with fear.

For Chu Cheng, who was operating Spider-Man in the game, this was all routine.

In fact, Spider-Man's flashy moves only required him to press one button.

This showed off Spider-Man's incredible abilities in the game. Unlike controlling a fighting hero who needs precise timing and strategy, Spider-Man just needs the player to hold down the defense button and let him handle the rest.

When Spider-Man is in defensive mode, his spider sense is fully active, automatically protecting him from almost all dangerous attacks. Whether it's a melee attack or a barrage of bullets, Spider-Man almost always dodges successfully.

By using the arrow keys, Spider-Man can dodge and flip in specific directions to avoid big explosive attacks. Adding spider silk to the mix lets him move quickly through the air, so he won't become an easy target.

Even though Spider-Man is incredibly strong, he is known for his agility. In the world of superheroes, you might find someone stronger, but finding a hero with Spider-Man's dodging skills is rare.

If Chu Cheng wanted to, he could have directed Spider-Man to charge forward and take on all the gunmen directly. But he chose not to, because he wanted to test Spider-Man's abilities to their fullest.

Chu Cheng had used Batman's detective mode to spot the ambushes and traps set up around him even before he landed. He was excited to have such a great chance to test Spider-Man's skills, as it was rare to get such a well-organized challenge.

As the fight went on, the gunfire grew quieter, and the gunmen's ammunition ran low. Amidst the bullet casings, Spider-Man stood unharmed, not even a scratch on his costume.

In the next moment, Spider-Man swung into the crowd.

With a blur of red and blue, he performed a series of impressive flips in mid-air. No one could keep up with his movements. As soon as he landed, two people in the crowd were knocked aside with a loud thud, flying left and right and crashing into a pile.

Immediately after, Spider-Man shot out a mass of white sticky webbing that quickly tangled up a group of people. They were stuck together, unable to move, no matter how hard they struggled.

The gangsters were thrown into chaos.

"What kind of magic is this?"

Someone bravely charged forward but didn't get a good look at what happened. He just saw a red and blue blur and then found himself knocked aside.

Several more people tried to fight back, but they were taken down one by one in quick succession. It all happened so fast that they barely had time to react before hitting the ground.

Even strangers, Spider-Man kept talking as he moved around them.

"Seriously, with the few hairs left on your head, haven't you thought about retiring?"

A voice suddenly came from behind one of the thugs. He turned around in fright, but it was too late—he was punched in the forehead and fell unconscious.

The others quickly turned their heads, only to see Spider-Man flipping through the air and landing among them while continuing his banter.

"Did someone eat garlic for dinner? It's really strong."

"Hey, don't leave yet! You haven't paid for your meal!"

As Spider-Man continued to knock people down with ease, his rapid movements and constant chatter created the illusion that he was everywhere at once. The gangsters, armed to the teeth, seemed helpless against him.

The old faces on the high platform turned pale.

After a moment, the other three looked at Chai Yanluo with disbelief.

Without saying a word, their expressions clearly conveyed their thoughts:

"Are you seriously calling this guy an ordinary person with nothing to fear?"
