The Train to London (4)

"Those eyes, I had seen them on TV and online before, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe I would witness their chilling nature from so close." My voice quivered slightly as I continued portraying signs of trauma.

"There's no way it could be him, right…tell me it was my imagination…" Staring off into the void and falling into disassociation, I was soon snapped back to reality by a loud sound and vibrations running through the train cabin.

BANG

"TELL ME EVERYTHING! WHAT HE SAID, HOW HE ACTED, DO NOT LEAVE OUT A SINGLE DETAIL!" Inspector Slater's voice was cold and booming as he slammed his fists onto his thighs with enough might to rock the entire train car for a beat.

"I…he…Inspector, it couldn't have been him…right? There is no way; the reports all said he died during the invasion." Trembling with fake fear, I gave an Oscar-worthy performance while internally laughing my ass off.
