It's been three months since I've been in this world. I have had to put up with its inhabitants, annoying, highly annoying and not so annoying. A month and a half ago, just like those 2 marasmatics said, my "favourite" brother Yukiteru suddenly came to visit us.

But along with that, came a benefit. Not only that Yukiteru Amano, who was hit by a car no longer existed, but also in all documents in the Amano family there are 2 sons, the eldest and the youngest. That is, the older Kaneki Amano is now... 14, oddly enough, but the younger Yukiteru is 12.

To be honest... there's still a lot of things mixed up. I've had a lot of problems, but I didn't realise that time travel, if you can call it that, is such a creepy thing.

What's the problem? Well, absolutely everything I did at school has been erased, as have the events with my father. He's alive now, he's running around somewhere, I'm secretly being chased by Yuno, who I've never spoken to in my life, I'm two grades above where the pink-haired girl and her stupid brother are.... but still, there's still a bunch of firearms under the boards in my room, I have a great relationship with Touka from Anteiku, and at the same school I'm... well, it's not that the guys shun me, they don't try too hard to make friends. But that's fine.

Ah yes... actually, Yukiteru himself. To be honest, even though he annoyed me, he didn't really make me hate him. Just a peculiar person, a little out of this world, if you can call it that. He didn't bother me much, just talked to me like... like roommates, I suppose that would be the best analogy.

Rhea had gone on a two-month business trip a month ago, so I didn't have to worry about behaviour. For example, last night, I went for a "walk" leaving Yukiteru at home, and came back with ten thousand dollars (600k rubles), which I... ahem, don't care about.

To make a long story short, in the room was a new comp for a little over five hundred dollars in the same case as it was, the goodness of the insides fit and nothing will have to explain to my mother. Gaming novelties in total came out to me in almost 100 dollars, but I was not particularly sorry. Money in my case, a resource easily available, and given the local "common people", then something supernatural they will believe in a little while, and how they are going to explain my kagune, even I wonder. Also, I bought myself a player for $150 for 36 GB of memory, stuffed a huge amount of music into it and now I walk around happy all the time. Nostalgia for the times on my first Earth came over me at the moment of the first use.

Well, and about the "uncles" that come in cases similar to my purchases, it's quite simple. The thing is that I bought all these things under completely different names, with differences in hair, its colour (yes, I dyed my hair a couple of times) and some cosmetics. Different faces, different names, and poor Kaneki Amano only had the money to buy some clothes.

This time, I decided to go away from my usual style, buying a couple of grey t-shirts with different images, a blue olympic shirt and black shoes with light black knee-length shorts and trousers.

***

Holiday. It's funny, but whereas before I thought life was quite boring, now... it was more fun. At least I didn't have to do those boring, easy tasks every day. But that's not really the point.

The 16th of August was on the screen of my brand new black iPhone 4, which I bought just a week ago, because even though I had plenty of money, my toad still didn't want to give a lot of cabbage just to be one of the first users of the phone. Yes, unfortunately for me, this isn't Ghoul Japan, where 2015 is in bloom, and here... it's only August 2010. So, I waited almost 2 months for the price of the phone to drop, as there was no particular need for it, after which I bought this device. To be honest, I felt quite strange at that moment. Like a dream in which you can do whatever you want. Everyone has fantasised in his life how he will buy himself some expensive thing, his parents will go on a business trip for a couple of months, he will be able to fill the fridge with sweet water and crisps, then buy an expensive phone, a car and drive on the streets. I can do all that. And as I was buying an iPhone, a strange feeling came over me. Like... I don't know. I wanted to smile a sort of bitter smile, after which I went home with a sigh. Do I miss my initial world? Huh, no. Even if I agreed to go back there when a god suggested it to me, I doubt about the rightness of such a decision. Still, if making a choice between endless fantasy and beyond, battles and a boring life... so-what was I there? Oh, yeah, a doctor. Well, with that choice, I'd probably form a fireball in one hand, grab my blade with the other, and launch myself at my enemies.

Now, I was immersed in a world of chaos and explosions, taking off in a fighter jet from a hangar to blow up a missile that was already taking off. Just cause 2 is a wild game after all.

And all would have been nothing... as suddenly there was a slight vibration across the floor. It was very faint, but it was coming from far away. I took off my headphones, paused the game and listened in surprise. Yukiteru came running down the stairs, heading towards me. The door swung open and the kid ran into my questioning gaze.

- Kaneki, did you hear that?! - he asked, excitedly, with a touch of fear.

- I had my headphones on. - I explained. - What happened?

- The explosion! - Yukiteru exclaimed. - There was an explosion outside!

I looked out the window in surprise and whistled. The high-rise building that was about 2 hundred metres away from us, towering above the rooftops of the houses on the opposite side of the street, was literally blazing like a torch in the... in the night, yes.

- Ter-r-r-act. - I jokingly, angrily growled, pocketing the player with headphones and the phone in a special protective case, with steel plates and pads inside. - Listen, Yukiteru, you go to your room and I'll take a walk. You keep your nose out of the house, understand?

- But...

- Я. I asked. Do you understand?

- Y-yes. - The boy nodded, then hurried out of the room.

I grinned, jumping outside through the window. I could jump from the tenth floor, and it wouldn't do me any harm. And if it does, I'll regenerate immediately.

Yeah... If this is who I think it is, then I guess it's the perfect opportunity to meet one of my favourite diary characters. And I have no doubt that it was indeed Minene Uriu's explosion. For one thing, the building is owned by a major company that... also majorly sponsors a church. And the church is what? That's right, the hatred of Minene Uriu, who according to the news, a week ago committed a terrorist attack here in this town.

Smiling a little, I put on headphones with a special shape, thanks to which "ears" did not fall out at sudden movements. Having played "Monster" by Skillet on the player, I briskly headed towards the burning building, sniffing, while giving myself to the sounds of the song, which thanks to a part of the talent of demons, always sounded in my native language. Heh, that was a symbolic walk....

"And the rage is in me, in my body, in my head!"

"I beg you now to take away my pain! Where is the end?!

"I can feel the rage boiling up inside me again!"

"It's hard to admit, but I'm like a monster!"

***

I walked into the alleyway, smelling blood, gunpowder, and dust, with a slight tang of a woman's scent. Pulling off my headphones, I tucked them into my pocket, walking interestedly around the corners between buildings. It was already getting dark, so I walked with my kakugan, letting the darkness get in the way.

And here, another turn and in front of me is a small courtyard with a back door to some building, with the following picture:

Standing there is an officer in a suit, with rather long dark wheatish hair. Hmm... familiar situation. Isn't he the one who ended up being the husband of the one-armed and one-eyed Minene? Ah yes, he was pointing a gun, at this very girl. In a rather... oddly coloured dress and two healthy purple torpedoes from her head. Ugh, they annoyed me in canon until she let her hair down. Thankfully, they haven't spotted me yet.

- Freeze! - shouted the officer with his finger on the trigger. - You have nowhere to run Minene Uryu! You will answer for your crimes...!

"YIKE"

- You're a bad cop, too. - I said grumpily, watching as a piece of brick ricocheted off the policeman's cast-iron head and straight into the rubbish bin.

Then, with a glance at the dumbfounded Minene, I calmly approached the lying carcass, whose head was bleeding. Touching the neck, thus checking for a pulse, I hummed as it was present. I also picked up a Glock-17, which wasn't in my "collection" yet.

- Still alive. Miss Uryu, do you think we should finish him off or what? - I asked the tense girl calmly when she saw me pick up the gun. - Don't be afraid, I won't bite you... ahem... no, it's better to say 'I won't shoot you'.

- Who are you? - The girl asked me glumly, still glancing at the gun.

- Let's put it this way. - I stood up, having finished pulling spare magazines out of the cop's jacket. - I'm a big fan of your "art is an explosion and blowing up churches is an anti-God explosion" thing. I don't like church. - I smiled at the end, getting up and approaching the still frozen girl who was giving me a suspicious look. - But I suppose you should talk less now and move your legs more. And your wound on your lower back..." the girl flinched, and her gaze changed to a surprised one again. - Let's just say it's not conducive to long-term survival. It should be bandaged, preferably away from the cops. I can get you into a place like this, and in return you'll give me... the opportunity to get to know you.

- What's the catch? - The girl squinted suspiciously.

- The catch is that I'm too much of a fan of yours and I might not be able to contain my youthful hormones and rape your weakened body. Or not rape, if you have a fetish for underage girls. - I shrugged, looking at the dazed expression on the terrorist's face, smiling slightly. - Then again, with a wound like that, you're not likely to get away from the cops who are about to come in here on a tip from this one. - I waved my hand at the carcass. - So what's it gonna be? Death or the possibility of being raped?

- Shh! - Minene replied irritably, but in the next second she swayed, almost falling if I didn't support her. - Okay, I'm coming with you. But if you do anything...

- Yeah, yeah, rip my genitals off, or shoot me in case the cops are called. - I nodded, letting the girl who was the same height as me lean on me, starting to walk towards the exit to my house.

***

- Now, we need to quietly make our way to the bathroom where I'll bandage you up. There's my stupid brother on the first floor, so if he does, it won't be very nice, you can't be passed off as a left-handed woman. - I clucked my tongue, standing in front of the front door with Minene on my shoulder.

- Let's go. - Minene almost growled from the pain of the wound.

We quietly entered the house, which was engulfed in darkness, as only Yukiteru's room had a light on. Next, we managed to follow through the darkness (thanks to the kakugan) to the bathroom, where we set up.

With barely enough time to disinfect and bandage the wound, I leaned back against the wall of the room, looking sadly at the bloody rags of Minene's clothes. It's all to clean up... clean up the medication....

Meanwhile, the perpetrator of the mess herself was drilling me with a frown, sitting on the floor with her back resting against the bedside table. My gaze strayed to the girl's bare upper body, for though the dress had gone to pieces, underneath were shorts... well, and a bra.

- Just try it..." Minene hissed, noticing what part of her body I was scrutinising.

- Hmm... I guess I shouldn't even expect a thank you? - I smiled slightly. The girl snorted, looking away. - I want you to stay with me for a couple of days, though. The wound isn't deep, but if you bother it often, you could die from bleeding out. And with your lifestyle, that wouldn't be surprising.

- Why? - Minene frowned again, looking at me... with her two eyes.

To be honest, her look is a bit young. It's understandable, of course, she's only 16, but even at 18 she looked somehow... too young, until she let her hair down and covered one eye behind a patch. Hmm... funny, but I'm taller than her. Although, it is in principle and understandable, not only that my body these two gods "awakened" for two years ahead, because of which I added height to a good 170 centimetres, and continue to grow abnormally fast, as the body seeks to return to the original proportions, to which I have 5 cm to go. Minene, on the other hand, has not yet grown to her canon representation.

- Hmm... Criminal solidarity? - I made a tentative attempt.

- Are you a criminal? - hummed the girl.

- Heh..., don't I look like one? - I smiled. - I am a killer of about a hundred thousand people, if not two hundred, a great Tokyo Kuroken, a black demon vampire, a demon and a blood baron. Hear my greatness, you miserable mortal!

- Ha ha ha ha! - Minene laughed heartily, but not too loudly, still mindful of my words about her brother. - And you're a bright kid.

- Yeah, but to prove my cleverness and my motives, we should go to my room. And it's getting late.

- Hmm... okay, let's go. - Minene nodded, giving my outstretched hand a sceptical look, rising on her own.

***

- That's rich. - Minene commented on my room with a strangely dismissive tone, after noticing the computer, where I had laid out a brand new phone and player on the desk.

I switched on the lights in the room, grinning, then walked over to my wardrobe, looking over the contents thoughtfully. Pulling out a grey t-shirt I restrained myself from gazing lustfully at Minana's torso without looking, tossing the article of clothing to her.

- If it squeezes, it's not my fault, I don't have your roundness.

- Pfft! - I heard Minene reply.

Throwing a glance at the computer screen, which was still displaying the Just cause 2 pause menu, I smiled slightly, heading for the exit.

- I'll be right back. - I nodded to Minena, who was looking around the room.

After informing my brother that it was time for bed, which I caught him preparing for, I walked back into the room, seeing Minene sitting at the computer... playing a paused game. Yep, great terrorist, terror of the saints, and just a sweet girl.

Silently approaching her from the back, I began to watch the bomber... undermining the base. Hmm.

- Not bad. - I smiled slightly.

Minene jerked in surprise, abruptly getting up from her chair, turning to me, finding herself in some strange tension.

- I suppose I should introduce myself? Sit on the bed, you're going to sleep on it anyway. - I waved my hand, taking my computer chair. Minene decided to obey, sitting down on the centre of the bed and staring at me.

- I'm interested in three things: Who are you? Why did you help me? What are you going to do?

- I am Kaneki Amano, an almost ordinary fourteen year old Japanese schoolboy. - I began to answer with a slight smile. - I hate the church, my father, my brother. I like blood, fun and girls. I don't have much of a goal in life. I helped you because of the hodgepodge of facts I had. You're a pretty girl, you destroy church organisations, you're world famous, you're a killer. I liked you, so I decided to save you when I passed by.

- Passing by? - sceptically questioned the girl.

- Well, I heard on the news that you had blown up a building, so I decided to help, because they said you were injured. So I went to try my luck at finding you. Oh, yeah, those are my cockroaches from when I got hit by a two-tonne lorry a couple of months ago. That's when I went grey. I'm not going to do a damn thing, I'm going to help you recover, then you can go on your way, but with the understanding that you can hide out here any second. There's absolutely no reason for me to turn you in to the cops, they'd rather have me for hiding a criminal.

Minene continued to remain silent, mulling over my words, until I stood up, stretching.

- Well? Will you accept my love, O maiden of my beautiful dreams?

Minene grinned, standing up and shaking my outstretched palm.

- I accept your offer, brick knight. - In response, I only chuckled.

Huh, what a day!
