Awakenings and Confrontations

As Kaito faced off against the towering creature, its monstrous form looming menacingly before him.

He dodged the creature's attacks while blue lightning crackled around him.

In a flash of blinding white light,

Kaito opens his eyes moves his gaze upwards and sees something alarming hover over his head,

"Well this is nice," Kaito said "That's something I don't wake up to every day..."

Kaito's head was on Akari's lap.

"Ok, get off!!" Akari said angrily

Kaito falls

"Owww!! Can't you at least be gentle?!!" Kaito demanded in agony while he sat up and rubbed his head

Akari visibly irritated, responded, " Oh, I'll be gentle!!"

" On second thought, never mind... " Kaito looks away in fear

Akari sighs" ...ask your questions...." She said

Kaito stands upright and faces her while Akari stays kneeled on the floor

"I never said I had any...." Kaito said

" You don't need to say...from my involvement in all this, you will already have questions, so lay it on me...." Akari said

" Hmm...seems I've been scouted." Kaito chuckles "First question... What was that thing... and everything!? I don't get it...."

" Kid...." Akari said

" Kid??? You practically look my age!!!!! Or younger, come on!!!!" He yells in annoyance

" Since when did you start seeing them...?" Akari asked

" ...As long as I can remember....." Kaito says

" Hmm, I see... That creature is a Specs, a mysterious and dangerous race of monsters that significantly threaten humanity." Akari said

" These creatures are not of this world, and their origins remain shromysterious" Spec??!" Kaito questioned

"They exist beyond the perception of normal individuals, making them elusive and difficult to combat." Akari continues

" However, certain individuals possess the ability to see Specs "

She stands up

" What do you mean.....?" Kaito asked

" Due to experiencing extreme despair and hitting rock bottom in life," Akari answered

"This heightened state of despair somehow grants people the ability to perceive these otherworldly beings"

She walks strolls him

"They prey on the vulnerable and despairing, often targeting those who can see them with the intent to kill them." Akari continues

" This makes individuals who can perceive Specs vulnerable to constant danger and the threat of imminent death."

Kaito looks directly at her

"Humanity has managed to develop means to fight back against them," Akari says

Kaito looks at his hand.

She notices his uncertainty "You don't remember what happened in that fight?" She asked

Fight flashes before his eyes " No...." Kaito answered

"Oh..... I see" Akari says

'was that just a fluke then?, either way, I can't let him stay here for much longer'

" Kid..." She said

"I am at least the same age as you!!!!!" Kaito yells

"Get home and rest... You've used something your body can't handle for a while," Akari says calmly "Go home and try to forget about what happened today...."

'At least until I get his situation down' she thought

"Ok, I'll try then... I didn't get your name...." Kaito said ...

" Akari.... Akari Hoshikawa!" She said "Nice to meet you" and she vanished in thin air

" Wait, wah??? Where did she....????" Kaito wondered

Meanwhile,

Mizuki sat alone on the city bridge, her figure hunched over and her head bowed in despair. Tears streamed down her cheeks,

With trembling hands, she clutched onto the railing, her knuckles turning white with the force of her grip.

"What was that??" Mizuki asks

A shiver ran down her spine as the memory of the monstrous creature flashed before her eyes.

"Maybe I should call Kaito..." Mizuki thought

Misuki's fingers trembled as she fumbled with her phone, the screen remaining dark

"My battery's dead.... " Misuki said

'Maybe I'll just head to his house... I hope he's still alive..."

Kaito headed homeward...

'Akari... Specs... What mysterious power was that....' 'I moved as fast as lightning... not to say the lightning bolt that hit me, and nothing happened ... it's odd....'

He flashed back

"Humanity has managed to develop means to fight back against them...." Akari said

Flashback end

" What means did they develop.... ???!! ... is it related to the lightning.." Kaito said

'she said something when I was fighting the spec..... something like ....'

He flashed back again

'Wait wah..... what's this climax pressure!! Did he just awaken it???" Akari exclaimed "But how is it this much??"

Flashback end

"Climax Pressure???.... awaken????..... what is going on.....? what does all this mean.....???" Kaito pondered

Kaito approached his doorstep, his eyes widened in disbelief at the sight of Misuki standing there at his door

"Mi.. Mizuki?!" His speech wavered

"Kaito..." Mizuki said

He stands in place looking at her

'At least she's okay...' he thought to himself

She runs to him from the door

"What the hell is wrong with you?!"

She hits his arm

" Owww!!" Kaito yelled 'And there goes my brilliant welcome home'

"Glad you're ok..." Kaito said

" I should say that to you!" Mizuki "And you owe me a lot of explaining ...."

" I already know I can't escape it!"

" First we...." As Mizuki was about to utter a word

An unfamiliar voice echoed "We do a welcome home party for the kid there...."

"Huh...???!!" Mizuki and Kaito uttered at the same time

Kaito and Misuki exchanged bewildered glances as their eyes turned towards the source of the voice.

Their gazes lifted to the rooftop where a hooded figure stood, their facial features shrouded in darkness.

"A welcome home party...." The mysterious person says "A good one!!"

Kaito senses an unfamiliar surge of power coursing through him,

"Huh???" Kaito exclaimed

'wait what am I feeling?! it's pouring out of him like his power' Kaito thought

"I didn't expect you to break the seal that soon...." The mysterious person spoke, "Call me Hood because I'm about to end your existence right now!"

Mizuki sees a light shine behind him and pushes Kaito outside the lawn

"Misuki!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kaito yells

As Kaito crashed outside the safety of the lawn, the ground beneath them trembled, he stood up and tried running back in.

Suddenly, the earth erupted in an explosion, sending shockwaves rippling outward.

Kaito was hurled backward by the force of the explosion.

The dust began to settle and the echoes of the explosion faded into the distance,

Kaito struggled to rise to his feet, his body battered and bruised.

"Misuki!!" Kaido says weakly

He runs and enters the house "Misuki!!"

"Misuki!!!" He continues to yell

" You're too loud!" The hood says as he suddenly appears before his back

"What!!?" Kaito exclaimed

A sudden punch propelled him through the floor upstairs. He crashed on the floor

He began to gasp for air.

Kaito sprawling on the floor of the room, he coughed and wheezed,

" What the hell was that??!!" He coughed " How did he get there??"

He stands up wobbling and scans his surroundings,

"Like I'm over here!??!" Hood's voice echoed

" Huh???" Kaito looks at the ceiling and sees Hood hovering above him

Kaito sidestepped as Hood dived down narrowly avoiding the attack.

"You have fast reflexes! Nice kid!" Hood complimented, as he got his footing in front of him "Why don't you come over here to fight!?"

Kaito yells in anger and runs towards him

"Seriously??" Hood asked disappointedly, he kicked Kaito's leg

Kaito falls and tumbles on the ground

But he launched himself at towards him.

Kaito's fist arced through the air, aimed for the Hood's torso.

But he sidestepped his attack and countered with a well-placed kick to Kaito's other leg, sending him falling forward

Kaito struggled to catch his breath,

A punch lands on his stomach sending him crashing backwards,

"Pathetic! Is that the best you can do??!! Even though you've just awakened?" Hood asked mockingly " I thought you'd be stronger! "

He punches Kaito down to the ground floor, he crashes onto the ground, bounces on the floor,

He began to cough and wheeze, as he turns sees Hood beside him

"Guess you're just a piece of trash!! And you'll die one" Hood said as he dives his hand to kill him,

' I'm dead ' Kaito thought

Mizuki running from the stairs, bloodied and bruised, clutching a rod tightly in her hand

"DON'T YOU TOUCH HIM !" Mizuki yelled

"So you're still alive!?" Hood asked "Hmm maybe I will kill you first!!"

" I don't think so!! " Misuki said

" Misuki....." Kaito weakly said while lying on the floor

Mizuki hurled the rod towards him with precision,

Hood dodges left and smirks "You think you'd win!!"

The earth began to erupt below her

Mizuki leaped over the erupting earth.

"Misuki get outta there!!!" Kaito yelled 'Get up c'mon stupid!!!! Mizuki is fighting for me!' he thought 'How pathetic!!'

She darted through the room and began throwing appliances toward him

'It's pointless!' Hood declared

He sidestepped repeatedly dodging each of them moving his gaze around to look for her

"Huh, where'd she go??!" He said

Mizuki swung a kitchen knife with all her might.

The blade connected shattered against the Hood's arm with a shower of sparks.

'She's good but still...' Hood thought

He aimed his arm to her head)

Mizuki gasped

"You're finished!!" Hood said menacingly

But an explosion clouds the place in the dust

Hood got hurled out of the house, crashing into a nearby car

Misuki's vision was blurry.

She sees Kaito in front of her

Blood drops from Misuki's head...

A blood droplet hung mid-air, it's fall a torturously slow descent. With a sudden burst, it shattered upon impact, scattering blood fragments across the sterile floor

Kaito's chest rose and fell with each labored breath, his hand trembling from a wound, slick with sweat and oozing bloodstreams.

"I can't believe this happened, I'm sorry Mizuki," Kaito says calmly

Mizuki on the floor looking at Kaito

But Kaito declared fully with rage 'I will kill you I swear by it!!!!!"

Hood grips on the car and throws the handle away, " Then COME AT ME!!!!" He yelled while he laughed menacingly

Kaito dashed towards him but Hood caught his arm and threw him away, sending him crashing into another building

Hood stands up and turns his attention toward him, his eyes glinting with malice

The sound of approaching police sirens pierces the air

Five police cars screeched to a halt behind the mysterious person,

They come out of their cars and point their guns towards him

" Ugh!!" He exclaimed disgustedly as he looked at them with a disgusted side eye "Get lost..."

The ground erupted underneath them scattering them into the air and causing the cars to explode at different angles

Thud echoed through the air

"Huh??" Hood wondered

Kaito dashed to his front

Hood spun around and launched a punch, but Kaito anticipated the move, dodging to the left

Kaito grabbed his arm, twisting it forcefully in the opposite direction. His bone snapped

"Nice one But..." Hood said with a menacing smirk,

It rolls back into place and heals

'His arm got fixed...' Mizuki thought 'Immediately but how and how is Kaito moving at that speed?'

Kaito lunged forward with a powerful punch aimed at Hood's face

'Nice try.....' Hood laughed out we he backflip-kicked him into a car

He landed, but a police helicopter came to the scene, hovering over Hood

"Put your hands in the air!!" Police yelled, "Don't make us shoot!!"

He approached a nearby car, effortlessly wrenching the door. Then he hurled the metal door towards the hovering helicopter.

The door flew through the air. The door struck the helicopter sending it spinning out of control.

The helicopter crashed into the street below. sending flames scattering in all directions.

Hood smirks and looks at Kaito,

Kaito slowly stands up, then wobbles, trying to maintain balance, and runs towards him holding his hand up, aiming for a punch,

"So now you're out of options..." Hood said, the. He appears behind him about to cast a finishing blow

Kaito's image dissipated into thin air, "What??? An afterimage???!!" Hood exclaimed

Blue lightning dashing around him left to right diagonally, in all directions

"Kaito ... " Mizuki said softly

"You're moving faster ??!" Hood questioned with shock, then gave a demonic smirk "Give me everything you've got kid!!!! Show me your power "

" Even I know I can't beat him I realized!! I broke his hand earlier!!" Kaito said " Meaning with enough speed I can crack his neck!! "

Kaito dashing to his face jumps and holds his hand out with the intent of grabbing his head

"I win!!"

"You're slow..." Hood said with a chuckle

" Wah..?" Kaito exclaimed and immediately got punched in the face

Kaito flew back and crashed on the floor, coughing up blood

Blood trickled from his nose as he struggled to rise,

"Kaito!!!" Mizuki screamed

" Like I said...." Hood said with a chill

He kicked Kaito soaring upwards into the air, then dashed towards him delivering another powerful blow, which drove him back to the ground.

"You're weak!!" He said

" Kaito!!!! " Misuki screamed with tears on her face

Kaito's body bounced off the ground, his limbs flailing, Hood seized his leg and relentlessly smashed him into the ground multiple times.

Finally, he flung Kaito towards a nearby tree, where he slumped to the ground.

Blood trickling from a wound on his head.

Hood approached him with a cold gaze

"You amused me at least, for that I'll give you a painless death person " Hood

He grabbed Kaito's head, his fingers tightened around Kaito's skull.

Kaito's vision blurred,

'I can't escape... I don't even get what's going on.... but as long as Mizuki is still alive,' Kaito thought 'I'm ok with it..... I'm already losing co...'

He closes his eyes

"PLEASE DON'T DIE KAITOOO!!!!" Mizuki yelled crying

Kaito opened his eyes, his gaze locked into Mizuki

'I'm sorry... Misuki.....'

A voice echoed in the air "Is that how you wanna die kid!!???'

A sudden thin burst of light beamed down to the scene and an explosion engulfed the area,

Through the haze of smoke, he glimpsed Akari standing before him,

"..Aka...ri??" Kaito said weakly

Akari drops him

"You survived that huh?! Koji!!!" Akari said,

Hood crashed and stood up immediately

"Seems you already snuffed me out..." He said and removed the hood showcasing his orange hair styled messily and sporting a black leather jacket

"What is your business here!?" Akari asked distinctly

" That kid!!! He's fulfilled his purpose" Koji

" Purpose?!" Akari asked

"He was gonna serve as our...." Koji said ".....I'm sorry that's classified"

Mizuki runs to Kaito

"Still listening to him huh..... you never grow up it seems!" Akari says with a laugh

" And you still act smug with those tits of yours" Koji replied while he pointed at her

"Wanna touch 'em? I know you always stare at them those days." Akari boldly asked

" Maybe at a later time.....It's my cue to leave... don't worry kid, your death has been postponed...we'll meet again" he said while stammering

He vanished

"Sigh.... I got here late, sorry Kaito...." Akari said in relief

" I'm ok..... Thanks for coming ..." Kaito says as he faints

" Kaito!!!" Mizuki screamed

A voice echoed in his head, "It's up to you..."

Kaito opens his eyes and sees himself on his house's door...

"Glad you ain't dead kid...." Akari said while smiling

Kaito looked at himself and saw he was bandaged up

Then moves his gaze around and sees the destruction from last night

"The police will be here..." Kaito said as he wanted to move

"I already took care of them..." Akari answered

" Oh... Where's Misuki??!" Kaito asked

Akari stood up and dusted her dress,

" She already made her decision... you might not see her for a while..." She said " So right now it's me and you... "

" What do you want to do?" She asked

" Tell me everything... and I will make my decision...." Kaito declared
