Chapter 116 - A Worried Mother

After the wedding is concluded, as promised. Adam and Kuroka went for a honeymoon.

This actually raises a problem…

He left behind all his daughters in the hand of Ravel who is happy to look after them. But, unfortunately. Without him physically there, those troublemakers also lose all their inhibition.

"Mom and Dad aren't at home! It's time to get wild!" Sirin led the group of rebels in her uprising. Their first goal is to raid the pantry and eat the snacks and drinks they normally are not allowed to.

"*Cough* Girls, you know that I am still here. Right?" Ravel watched as the group was busy raiding the pantry and hauling the goods away.

"Tch! Just because you got lucky and married to dad doesn't mean we acknowledge you yet." Sirin said plainly to her about her thought which felt like a burning spear driving straight to her heart.

Unknown what method Sirin used to corrupt Abby, but Abby, the most innocent one of the three also nodded which landed a critical hit on Ravel who fell flat to the ground, clutching her pained heart.

"Uhm… Sisters, I don't think we should bully Rav— Uh… mother Ravel like that." Sakura interjected which was like a helping hand to soothe her pain. But…

"Don't tell me you actually accept that snake? She actually has the audacity to trick father to impregnate her and use that as an excuse to get married."

Those words from Dark Sakura are like a loaded gun, shooting the already kneeling Ravel from the back to finish her off.

"You girls… Don't tell me you are disregarding me because you are jealous?" Ravels wanted to confirm her assumption.

"It's that obvious though?" Sirin said while snacking on another pack of chips and washing them down with a soda.

"You all are weird. Lusting over your own father."

"We are all adopted. It's fine." Sirin replied and even Sakura nodded unconsciously but immediately hid her face when Ravel stared deadpan at her.

"Fine. Do whatever you all want then." Ravel gave up and left them to their devices with a grumble.

Celebrating their victory against the homewrecker. Sirin distributed some rewards to all contributors and then she noticed…

"Wait. Where is Jack?" Sirin asked and immediately turned to Dark Sakura whose face turned red and tipsy with a bottle of wine in her hand and two more empty ones on the floor.

"Goddammit… Mom and dad are gonna flip if they know Jack went missing again" Sirin mutters because all hell is about to break loose and prayed there wouldn't be a new mysterious serial killer case on the news tonight.

In Kyoto, the secret realm of Youkai.

"Haha haha, this is fun!" A certain girl is chasing after a group of Tengu guards with knives while 'playing tag'.

"Uhm… Lady Yasaka. Shouldn't we stop the girl?" A kitsune bodyguard asked.

Yasaka glanced at another girl who was snacking non stop since the moment she arrived and gulped.

"I don't think we can afford to." Yasaka replied with a sigh.

It all started a while ago. Yasaka was as usual, dealing with her day to day responsibility as the leader of the Youkai of Kyoto. Then suddenly she was interrupted by her Shadow Force, a group of Kitsune Youkai that work as her eyes and ears and hands in shadow. She was informed about two intruders.

When she asked for the details, they explained it was just two girls. One is doing nothing but snacking with disinterest while another is terrorizing the Youkai population of Kyoto, chasing after them with sharp pointy knives.

Because of how absurd it sounded, Yasaka decided to check it out and sure enough, all that was reported to her is true. Also, one of them apparently is the fearsome Dragon God Ouroboros.

It confuses her why a big shot like Ophis would be interested in coming to Kyoto. When she asked about it. Ophis simply replied, "Jack wants to play." When Yasaka asked who Jack was, Ophis replied, "Sister?"

So, to make it short. The Dragon God Ouroboros apparently has a sister and she wanted playmates which happen to be the Youkais.

There's nothing Yasaka can do without the risk of offending Ophis. So, the natural course of action is to sacrifice the Tengu guards as sacrificial lambs. This is a matter of national security and Yasaka promised to compensate everyone involved very handsomely.

"Mother!"

"Kunou? Why are you here!" Yasaka panicked.

"Huh? I heard there is someone looking for a friend to play with." Kunou replied obliviously.

"Friend?" Jack suddenly appeared behind Yasaka and looked very curiously at Kunou, shocking the Great Kitsune Youkai of Kyoto.

"Yeah! Mother is always busy working and never has time to spend with me. So, I can be your friend and we can play together!" Kunou said and offered her hand to the curious Jack.

Yasaka was having a panic attack and heart attack when hearing what Kunou just suggested. Her daughter is going to play with this dangerous sister of Ophis?!

"Kunou!" Yasaka sternly called her daughter.

"I'm not listening. You always promised to play with me but are always too busy to fulfill your promises." Kunou openly rebelled against her mother and ran away with Jack.

Yasaka was terrified but looking at Ophis, she didn't have the strength to refuse either or Kyoto would be wiped out if she displeased the Dragon God.

What Yasaka could do is simply order her Shadow Guard to follow after Kunou and save her if the situation gets dangerous while she can only wait restlessly for Jack to be satisfied with her daughter…

Gosh, the last part sounded so wrong.
