School has ended giving me have enough time to think. Now that I think about it it's almost Shayla's birthday. should I surprise her? What to do

I should call her. "hey Shayla are you busy right now?"

"Hey Ciel what's up im doing chores right now"

"Can we meet up when you're done?" I asked

"yeah just give me a second, let me tell my parents- MOM I'M HEADING OUT- I'll meet you in a couple minutes let me finish up. what are we meeting up about is it important?" she asked

"Nothing serious, haha it's just I wanna hang out today that's all"

"Can I bring my friends along this time?" she asked

"Yeah, anything you wanna do" Oops- "alright il see you later bye!" I'm literally so obvious my face was all flushed. okay so her birthday is in 2 weeks that is enough time.

I walk to the kitchen happy thinking about the plans.

"What are you all smiley about got a boyfriend now" my dad stands up realizing I was too obvious forgetting he gets angry at the smallest things

"then what is it he asked" looking angry already with a bottle of alcohol in his hands. shit I'm done for this time

"I'm happy that I passed my exam results" I lied

"it better be that you dumbass bitch. You can't lie to this man or you're better off dead. now scatter."

"..." I left quietly before I got hit again shaken up. Shit, I've been feeling so happy and positive but that was the daily reminder I needed.

I saw the group inside the cafe and entered "Hey guys!" I felt sick in my stomach after what happened earlier.

Shayla(17) brought Jack(19), Carl (17) and Lisa(18).

"Hey Ciel you good you look pale" is what Carl mentioned. Now's not the time to get distracted tho.

"yeah I'm all good its nothing but we came here to talk about Shayla so as we all know it's almost her birthday! We are gonna make plans for what to do that day!" I exclaimed they were all excited

"We should buy drinks and go to the carnival," said Jack

"Orr we could go to a club to celebrate," said Lisa

We planned our ideas and headed home. It ended with celebrating at her house and then going on a trip. We bought decorations a cake some drinks and her parents invited some guests.

I woke up as early as possible and put on a nice black dress I had and did my hair in a bun and put light makeup on. I snuck out before catching the eye of my father successfully.

I reached her house and the group was already there.

"You look stunning" Carl complimented me and Jack agreed. "thanks guys" I smiled.

My heart dropped when I saw Shayla by her pool holding hands about to make out with a guy I couldn't see who it was because of how dark it was. I was holding back my tears and thought nothing of it.

Shayla came back inside "Hey Ciel, you look stunning today!~"

My voice cracked a bit "Thanks you too" I said. The guest started leaving and it was just us the group

"We should play a game of truth or Dare~," Lisa said

"SOUNDS LIKE FUN," Jack said "I agree," said both Carl and Shayla

"rules are if you refuse you take a shot"

I had a really bad feeling but I want to let loose after today.

"Alright, you first Shayla Truth or dare?"

"Who would you date in this room?"Lisa asked "If you refuse take a shot"

she looked around and giggled "Not exactly anyone"

"I dare you to kiss Lisa," she said

"WHAT HELL NO NOT HER" He took a shot

"is there anyone you want at the moment and if so who" he asked

"You gotta answer the full question loll" he laughed

we played till the group left and it was me and Shayla left
