CHAPTER 19

“So what exactly are you plotting now?” Nancy asked her.

“What do you mean?” she asked looking at her friend.

“You dressed like this. Are you trying to kill that kid?” Nancy asked trying to hold in her laughter.

“I am. I want him to suffer for a while. It’s going to be a long night,” she said.

“I know you are cruel but never thought it was to this extent,” Nancy said.

“I can’t help it.”

“So, are you going to sleep with him now?” Nancy asked.

“Not now, maybe when we return back home; I will not let him think that I’m easy,” Ruby said.

“I understand you. Just make sure you are both okay. Let’s go inside before they get tired of waiting. I can already see the look on the juniors faces when you walk in there,” Nancy said.

“It’s going to be a topic for the next week,” Ruby said with a smile.

“If you know then it’s okay. Let’s go,” Nancy said and Ruby followed her.

Just like what Nancy said, all eyes were on her but she didn’t mind. She was used to it; she was after all the president of the student council.

She loved the way her male best friends looked at her as she arrived at the table. Harvey stood up and pulled a chair for her which attracted a loud cheer from the rest. She smiled and sat down with her friends.

“This is going to be interesting,” Brian said with a smile on his face.

It’s been a week since Ruby returned from the trip with Harvey and they have kept it very low even at their house. She didn’t want her family finding out exactly what they were really up to.

Ruby woke up late since it was weekend; lucky for her she didn’t have any more assignments to keep her awake during the night. She went downstairs to the kitchen to look for food and found only the maids down there.

“Where is everyone?” she asked.

“The Chairman and madam left for the island early this morning and the young sir just went out. He said he will back later,” the chief maid answered.

“Okay, I thought that they will leave later but it’s okay,” she said as she sat at the table.

Her breakfast was served to her. There was some bacon, sausages, fired eggs, baked beans and white bread which was her favorite. She took her time eating since she wasn’t in a hurry that morning. She was thinking of what she will be doing that weekend.

She should meet up with her friends and have some fun or she should visit her older step sister even when they weren’t that close at all. She was in a dilemma.

She remembered the look her older step sister always gave her, Helen hated her a lot but she didn’t mind at all. At least someone in the house adored her and that’s all that mattered.

She had never been close to her but she was still her older sister and she misses her a lot. She hadn’t been home for a month since she was staying outside ever since University.

After her breakfast Ruby left the house and began to take a walk outside. The house was so huge and so was the yard. You could walk and walk and even camp outside if you wanted.

She was having her nice walk when she received a call, she picked it up and it was Harvey, he was back home. She turned around and began to return to the house where she met him half way. She ran into his embrace and the two hugged each other for a while.

“I can tell that you missed me,” he said with a huge smile on his face.

“I do, next time don’t just leave without saying goodbye,” she told him.

“I won’t do that,” he said and holds her hand.

The two of them began to walk back towards the house talking and laughing as they go. They arrived and entered the house where they went straight to the lounge to sit.

“I’m bored,” Ruby complained.

“What do you want to do?” he asked her.

“I don’t know. Anything at this moment will do. I was thinking of visiting Helen; do you think she will be free?” Ruby asked Harvey.

“Are you sure you want to see her?” he asked her.

“Yes I do. How about we meet her tomorrow?”

“I will find out from her and see if she is free.”

“Thank you.”

“Since you are bored, I have a solution. Do you want to give it a try?” Harvey asked her and she was intrigued.

“I’m all ears,” she said looking at him.

“You only need your phone and we are good to go,” he said.

“I can work with that. My phone is already here with me, so let’s go,” she said.

“Let’s go.”
