King Of Gambling

"Gambling?" Bram asked for confirmation.

Of course, he was very happy to hear that his friend was back at the gambling table.

Bram was indeed the owner of the biggest gambling business in Bandung, whose company had been animated by Ramon, the son of a businessman whose money had never run out.

Gambling is indeed something that Ramon likes very much; in the past, when he was still with his ex-wife, he often fought because of this problem; all his property was used up at the gambling table.

Because of this gambling hobby, Ramon's ex-wife asked for a divorce because, for the sake of this table that never stopped spinning, Ramon had to spend all the money and savings they had.

Bram then asked when Ramon was ready to start this fun game, and Ramon happily agreed to return to the gambling table today, even though he didn't have a dime.

."Wow, you have money again?" Bram exclaimed as he tapped Ramon on the shoulder.

Ramon didn't answer his friend's question; he just hurried away from his house because he didn't want Rika to know where he was going that day.

Understanding Ramon's request, Bram walked to his car.

Sophia, who saw his master was very happy to see his old friend, opened the door and let Ramon leave without saying goodbye to Rika.

Not long after, Ramon left with Bram.

"Ramon.," exclaimed Rika, who had just awakened from her nap.

She then went to the kitchen and asked Sopiah where her husband had gone.

Sopiah then said that Ramon was away with an old friend and would be back before nightfall; Rika, who thought Ramon was going away on business, didn't ask Sopiah much more and preferred to return to her room while waiting for her husband's return.

Brak!

Ramon slammed the door; it was already ten at night, and Rika looked sleepy. "AAAH!" Ramon shouted, making Rika rush to her husband.

"What's wrong? Why are you yelling, Ramon?" exclaimed Rika, who seemed very annoyed by her husband's attitude.

"Shut up! AAAH!" shouted Ramon again.

When Ramon arrived, he was drunk, and his clothes were a mess, and he wouldn't stop slamming anything that got in his way. Sophia, who saw Ramon's messy condition, then asked Rika to return to her room, but Rika didn't want to because she wanted to know what happened to Ramon.

"He's losing at gambling," Sopiah whispered, which made Rika even angrier.

A very innocent Rika then approached Ramon and asked him to stop gambling and getting drunk.

"Go away! Who are you to forbid me?" shouted Ramon as he swung his hand towards Rika's face.

Plak!

Ramon's hand landed on his wife's cheek. Rika didn't expect Ramon to have the courage to play with her.

Rika, shocked, burst into tears as she looked down to endure this unbearable heartache.

"How could Ramon, who is so gentle, slap her like this," She whispered.

Ramon continued to yell to get rid of the upset in his chest while Rika could only walk into her room with tears.

"It can't be allowed; he doesn't know who I am yet," Rika exclaimed as she packed her things.

Rika didn't know where to go home, but since she remembered that her mother was still at Ramon's parent's house, she decided to go there and tell them everything Ramon had done to her that night.

Sophia, who saw Rika rushing to pack, tried to stop her, but she was too fast; Rika moved faster than her.

"Madam, where are you going?" Sopiah interrupted Rika, who ignored her.

The young woman dragged her suitcase and got into an online taxi that looked ready to pick her up.

A frightened Sopiah immediately told Ramon about his wife's departure.

"It's up to her where she wants to go. I don't care. My money is more important than Rika's," shouted Ramon, who was upset about the news from Sophia.

Rika finally arrived at Ramon's parents' house with red cheeks from her husband's slap.

"What's wrong with your cheeks, child?" asked Anita, who was very worried about Rika's cheeks.

Rika then told Mrs. Anita about Ramon losing at gambling and then slapping her.

"How can he return to the gambling table?" asked Anita while compressing Rika's cheek.

"I don't know, Mom," said Rika with tears.

Anita then remembered that her son had asked for money to pay Rika's tuition fees yesterday; Rika then confirmed that she was paying tuition fees but less than Ramon had asked for.

"Ah, it's only fitting that he played gambling. That must be the money he used." Anita tried to conclude. Jaya, who was then told about Ramon returning to gambling, became upset.

Rika didn't seem to agree too much with her father-in-law's words; for her now, it wasn't about who received the inheritance but how to fix Ramon.

"If that's the case, I don't want to give him a penny of my inheritance, I'd rather give it to Rika," Jaya said angrily.

Yes, Ramon was wrong because he liked to play gambling, but of course, Ramon was still his father's son, who should be given a chance to live a better life.

Rika's words deeply moved Jaya and Anita. Rika was new to the house and much younger than Ramon, but RIka's maturity made them both salute her.

"Thank goodness, Ramon, to meet you, Rika. I hope your household will last," said Mrs. Anita as she hugged Rika.

Braak!

Someone slammed the door. Rika was so shocked that she tried to see who had come in the night and slammed the door.

"How dare you come here without my permission," Ramon shouted angrily.

Anita then approached her son, who looked drunk; she then asked Ramon to go to his room alone because she was worried that her son would make a scene.

"Mom, don't defend Rika. She is now my wife," Ramon shouted louder.

Seeing her son come in drunk, Jaya approached. "What are you going to do, Rika?" Jaya shouted sternly.

"Dad, this is not your business!" Ramon was getting angrier; he even tried to strangle his father.

"Ramon, Stop!" shouted Rika, who tried to prevent her husband from doing anything further. Fortunately, Ramon was drunk, so his arms were not as strong as when sober.

"Why, you want to strangle your father. Try it." Jaya said, thrusting his neck.

"AHH!" Ramon shouted, getting out of control.

"Never mind, if you can't be controlled, tomorrow I'll have a lawyer cross out your name on the inheritance papers and replace it with your wife's name!"

"WHAT? No, Father. Don't do this to me!" Ramon was going crazy.
