Father's Decision

Jaya, Ramon's father, then calmed down his son-in-law. They knew Rika feared Ramon leaving or going further, but they were sure he would return soon.

Rika, who understood, then fell silent and began to calm down, not forgetting Anita, Ramon's mother, asked Rika to go to the dining room because her lunch was already prepared.

"Okay, Mom!" Exclaimed Rika, who was always excited when invited to eat by her mother-in-law.

Arriving at the dining room, Rika immediately ate all the available dishes; she occasionally paused and looked at her plate while remembering that Ramon had not eaten since yesterday.

Ramon must be very hungry, and hopefully, he will return soon. Sure enough, just as Rika was enjoying her second plate,

"Mom," Ramon exclaimed as he opened the door.

He came home because he was starving, and Ramon had no money to buy food. For some reason, Ramon was now similar to Rika; he would go home if his stomach were hungry.

"Ramon," called Rika, who was happy to see her husband at home.

"I wasn't looking for you, I want to eat!" Ramon exclaimed.

Rika, who understood very well, invited her husband to go to the dining room immediately because the waitress had prepared a lot of food for them.

"But don't tell Mom that I'm coming!" Ramon whispered very curtly.

Rika understood and nodded; soon, they were busy with their plates.

Anita, who saw that Ramon had gone home, did not approach him; she just watched from afar and hoped that her stubborn son would not leave the house again.

"Why are you staying here?" Jaya asked in a whisper.

Mom then told Jaya that her son had come home,

"Never mind, he'll obey, Rika!" Anita whispered with a smile.

Anita knew very well that her son was not as bad as they thought; it was just that sometimes his prestige was too great to be controlled by anyone.

Jaya nodded, then left Ramon and Rika in the dining room alone.

"Are you full?" Rika asked, looking innocently at her husband.

Ramon nodded, then cleaned up the spoons and forks before him.

"I'm going home, I'm not comfortable at my parents' house." Ramon said to Rika.

Rika complied and stood up from her chair.

"Hey, where are you going?" Ramon asked as he also stood up.

"You said you were going home, so I stood up." Rika replied with a smile.

Ramon became confused for a moment and then nodded,

"But no need to say goodbye, I don't want Mom to know I'm here!" Ramon exclaimed, not knowing that his mother had been watching him from behind the door.

"Well then, let's go home!" Rika said as she handed him his plate.

Rika and Ramon then stepped into the yard. Ramon just remembered that yesterday he had come here without bringing a car,

"Uh, I forgot I didn't bring a car, how about this?" Ramon asked awkwardly.

Rika then took out her cell phone and ordered an online taxi.

"You're smart now too!" Said Ramon, who saw the development of his wife, who was getting smarter.

Rika smiled and felt that Ramon would also change, although keeping him away from his gambling friends, who always seemed to be after his money, was difficult.

Rika sighed and looked at her husband expectantly, while Ramon looked at Rika, who he once considered an innocent girl, now a source of treasure for him.

While they looked at each other, the online taxi Rika ordered finally arrived. They got into the car and headed home.

On the way home, Rika and Ramon were silent, not knowing what was in their hearts.

When they arrived home, Ramon and Rika immediately entered the house, still not talking to each other.

"Eh, Mr. and Mrs. are home!" Greeted Sopiah, who saw Ramon and Rika enter the house.

Seeing Mr. and Mrs. walking away wordlessly, Sopiah wrinkled her forehead and stepped into the kitchen.

"Sopiah!" Ramon called out.

"Yes, Master!"

"Prepare some bath water for Rika. She must be very tired!" Ramon's order made Rika and Sopiah look at each other.

Rika, who didn't understand what Ramon meant, began to wonder if this was his way of making her happy or if something else was in his order.

"Yes, I haven't showered yet!" Rika said with a smile.

"We'll talk later!" Ramon exclaimed and walked to his house's backyard.

"Warm water, ma'am!" Sopiah asked, trying to clarify Ramon's order.

Rika just nodded and walked to her room.

After waiting a while for Sopiah to prepare the bath water, Rika began to soak in the warm bathtub, which was expensive for her before marrying Ramon.

As she soaked, she recalled everything she had experienced since she met Ramon until today, things she had never felt before.

All this time, she knew life was easy and wouldn't be this complicated, but now, even though she was married, her life was complicated; where did she ever dream that her handsome husband would like to play gambling even though he was rich?

Rika took a deep breath and continued her bath, which felt so fresh.

Kreeekk...

Ramon opened the door to his room and approached Rika, still soaking in the bathtub.

"Can I come in?" Ramon asked as he opened the bathroom door.

"What's wrong, Ramon?" asked Rika, who did not get up from the bathtub.

Ramon then approached Rika and asked if it was true that she was now pregnant with his child; Rika smiled and then looked at her husband very gently.

Ramon then sat beside the bathtub and repeated his question, and Rika nodded.

"I should be my father's heir, not you!" Said Ramon, who still seemed not to accept his father's decision.

Rika then explained that with his name or Ramon's name, the property would still belong to Ramon, so Ramon's fear was unnecessary.

Although Ramon continued to explain, he still did not seem to accept his father's decision.

"What's wrong with you, my money will still be your money, Ramon!" Rika insisted, which Ramon didn't understand.

"But that means I have to keep asking you for money!" Ramon exclaimed.

Rika shook her fist, no longer understanding how to make her husband understand.

Tired of the endless arguments, Rika got up from the bathtub and picked up a kimono towel not far from her reach.

Ramon was still sitting and didn't want to get up; Rika then walked over to the bag she had been carrying and took out several wads of money that Jaya, her mother-in-law, had given her.

"This is money, you want this, right?" Rika asked as she handed it to Ramon.
