Chapter 37. All New Yorkers

"Baby, you know that card has a minimum charge of $250,000 per year, right?" Rayleigh asks her fiancée; the two of them had just officially become engaged the night before, after a series of unbelievable exchanges.

Isabelle replies, with a tinge of apprehension in her tone, "I know, but it's scary. It's a lot of money."

Rayleigh nods, a small smile playing on her lips. "Well, yeah, but last year you managed to spend it well."

"Because I bought a condominium in Bangkok for the two of us," Isabelle says, rolling her eyes, the memory still fresh in her mind. "It's already scary enough for me."

Stepping closer to her fiancée, Rayleigh reassures her, "It's under my name; you can just spend it."
