Chapter 47: Tombstone and Rhino

'Don't get angry, don't be mad,' Venom reassured him in his consciousness, afraid that he would lose control of his emotions again and have a mental outburst.

Maverick took a long breath and responded, "It's okay, it's not to the extreme yet."

After the last outburst, he had consciously trained himself to control his emotions, and smashing the heads of those three people just now had already vented some of his anger.

The bound and immobilized robber was also scared out of his wits. He trembled and stammered, "I-I don't know. The other side just told us to wait here, and then he would remind us to start pretending to rob."

"When we start, they will come immediately. Of course, if we can take care of you directly, our commission will increase by thirty percent."

"I don't know anything else, please let me go." Accompanied by the sound of his neck snapping, the robber's plea for mercy forever remained in his throat.

Maverick threw the body into the nearby ruins, then changed his clothes to match the attire and black hood of the robber.

After the transformation, he lay down on the ground, restraining his breath, like a corpse, waiting for the next wave of enemies to arrive.

At the same time, he gradually connected the inconspicuous details of tonight in his mind.

Firstly, the increase in criminal incidents these days. Recently, he hadn't been going out to deal with criminals much, so the enemy must have used some means to suddenly increase the number of criminal incidents these days to make him appear.

Secondly, the helicopter tonight. He was puzzled why there had been helicopters passing by today, but now it seemed that they were all confirming his location repeatedly, then directing this convenience store robbery scene.

The reason why the subsequent enemies didn't act with these robbers might be because they were unsure of his location, hence the two to three minutes of time difference.

Perhaps the other side hadn't expected these robbers to be dealt with so quickly, so they still set a thirty percent bonus to encourage them to do well.

It seemed that the people trying to deal with him were not simple, with considerable power, otherwise they wouldn't have pulled off such a big move.

While Maverick was contemplating, Venom also reminded him that someone was approaching.

Not far from the convenience store, a man with grayish-blue skin and white hair was walking with another person who looked extremely muscular, with grayish-white skin and even horn on his head.

"So quiet, it seems those people have already dealt with the trouble. We probably won't have a chance to make an appearance," the muscular figure with grayish-white skin and horn said to the man beside him.

The bald man with grayish-blue skin disdainfully glanced at him and said, "Use your brain, you dumb rhino. Haven't you smelled the strong smell of blood?"

"Those guys are so useless, wasting such good weapons. Now we just have to pray that Venom hasn't escaped yet and obediently let us deal with him, or else it won't be good when we report back to the boss."

"Don't you dare call me dumb, Tombstone!" Rhino shouted at the man beside him, glaring at him. "If you don't want to be crushed by me, apologize now!"

Seeing the Rhino stop and glare at him, Tombstone shrugged helplessly and said, "Fine, I'm sorry."

The Rhino also calmed down at his words and continued towards the convenience store.

'What a dumb Rhino. I really don't understand why I have to work with him. I'd rather just take his share of the money,' Tombstone cursed inwardly.

He knew this guy was brainless, single-minded. If he hadn't apologized, the guy would have definitely started a fight right there. Working with such a partner was truly asking for trouble.

Soon they arrived at the convenience store, and seeing the bodies and blood all over the floor, Tombstone couldn't help but become serious.

He had suspected that these robbers might fail, but he hadn't expected it to be so one-sided, almost like a massacre.

In his estimation, these robbers might fail, but that guy called Venom wouldn't have an easy time either, considering the number of weapons they had. Even Spider-Man would have trouble dealing with them.

"No one's here. Our target has already left. After finishing off these people, he escaped," Rhino said, looking at the dilapidated convenience store.

'Thanks Captain Obvious.' Tombstone didn't taunt Rhino loudly after hearing his words. Instead, he said seriously, "Don't be careless. The opponent's strength should be very strong, beyond our expectations."

"These people aren't just some street thugs or small-time hoodlums; they're professional mercenaries. Being dealt with like this isn't an easy feat."

The next second, a black figure wearing a hood suddenly appeared behind him, and a punch slammed down on his back.

"You guessed right," a hoarse, cold voice sounded as the fist fell, perfectly picking up where Tombstone left off.

This unexpected attack sent Tombstone flying. His body crashed into the already dilapidated wall, then rolled outside along with the rubble.

"No wonder his color is strange; turns out he's not an ordinary person," through that punch just now, Maverick also judged that this guy named Tombstone is no ordinary person.

This guy's skin felt very tough, like stone. It seemed hard to break.

Just now, they heard the conversation outside, so Maverick also knew that the two people who came to deal with him were similarly bizarre characters like the Goblin last time, even their names were strange. It's not your average person's style.

"Enemy! Hah!" Seeing Maverick appear, Rhino immediately lowered his head and charged towards him, the thunderous heavy footsteps indicating more than enough force in this attack.

For Maverick, Rhino's attack was really amateurish because with his excellent reflexes and speed, he could easily dodge it.

As Rhino was about to hit him, Maverick agilely jumped to the side, watching as Rhino crashed into the wall, turning the already shaky convenience store into ruins.

*Boom! Boom!* The convenience store turned into a tomb made of rubble, burying Rhino underneath.

"If he were to work in demolition, he'd have a bright future. He wouldn't even need to buy machinery; he's a whole demolition team by himself," Maverick complained to Venom, looking at the pile of rubble.

This big oaf is like a tank, charging straight ahead, with great destructive power. If he were a bit faster, he might have caused him a little trouble.

Venom scoffed disdainfully, "I think his brain might not be as smart as a pig's."

At this point, Tombstone, who had just been knocked away, had already stood up again. He grinned at Maverick, showing a somewhat sinister smile, "It's been a long time since I felt pain. Looks like I underestimated you."

After saying that, he quickly charged towards Maverick.

Maverick immediately met him head-on, starting to fight back.
