Brimstone, South C.

Matthew woke up later than expected, sunlight filtering through the curtains. He bolted upright in bed, eyes darting to the clock. Panic surged through him as he saw the time. He remembered the previous night with Dami and smiled briefly, recalling their conversation and the kiss they shared. But then, Dominic's words echoed in his mind: "The killer is a little girl, and she can't go to prison."

He quickly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom, thoughts racing. Dominic's instructions were clear, and Matthew had failed. The police had already been at the scene when he arrived. He needed to fix this before it spiralled out of control.

After a quick shower and brushing his teeth, he made a sandwich, opting for water instead of coffee. His mind kept drifting back to the alley, the flashing lights, and the police officers already inspecting the body. He had to come up with a plan, and fast.
