Sebastian was staring at the fire place for an unusual amount of time and after some minutes, he stood up and took up a piece of paper and an ink and a feather used for writing.
The king's POV
It's still a wonder to me how I find myself captivated by the human girl "Mirabelle Nolan". Now, I'm unashamedly writing a letter to her again. I didn't care if she was blind but I wished she could read the contents of this letter herself without anyone peaking into it but at the same time, someone had to read it to her and I don't really mind that because it would inform them that the human girl is mine. The moment I set my mind to get something, I always get it!. I cannot explain the force that pulled me towards her, pushing my hate for humans aside when it came to her. It was mesmerizing, how her brown hair cascaded down her back, how her chest heaved the moment she noticed my presence in the forest during Matthew's burial, the freckles on the bridge of her nose, her pink lips and her eyes. She was blind but it felt like I could see through those scales that covered her eyes and see the innocent creature she was. She was undoubtedly pure and if ever she was to be tainted, she'd be tainted by me. I wanted all of the innocent creature to myself, her blood, her body, her soul. This new feeling was maddening. I hated other humans nonetheless, but not my innocent creature. She ignited a fire of curiosity in me that I am certain will never be put out, unless by her.
I concluded my letter and sealed it. I was tempted to use the current royal seal but it would bring too much attention from her family, I wanted them to wonder for a while. I wanted the human girl but I preferred that things be taken at my own pace. A wicked smirk didn't fail to appear on my face as I decided to use an old royal seal, one dating back to almost two hundred years ago. None of her family members were that old so they wouldn't know it was from the crown. All they'd read to it is that the letter was from a noble man. After placing the seal, I decided to pay my innocent creature a visit and give her the letter myself. I harnessed my powers and left the castle and arrived in the Nolan family house unseen. I was standing in her room, at a distance with my eyes glued to her. She was nestled in her bed but she wasn't sleeping. Her brown hair designed the sheets below her and she was dressed in her undergarments. She was home so she obviously didn't mind her dressing but now I was watching, observing and appreciating the beauty before me. I took a step closer and she finally felt my presence. She sat up from the bed and there it was, her chest heaving in the most seductive way possible. "Gabrielle? Is that you?" Her sweet voice fell on my ears as I saw her try to grab a stick beside the bed, her walking stick. When she didn't hear any reply, she threw her hands to the corner of the bed again knowing her walking stick was kept there. She finally touched it and that's when I walked up to her and sat beside her, stopping her advances to stand up from the bed. I saw the fear in her facial expression and she gulped whilst wanting to ask who I was. I placed my thumb over her lips to shut the questions before they even come out and her warm breaths fanned my finger but that didn't stop her, she bit me. I was taken aback by her sudden defense, I was amused even. But before I could get my thumb free from her teeth's grasp, I felt the walking stick hovering by my side about to descend on me and I stopped it by pulling it from her grip and holding it before she could use it on me. She wasn't weak, being blind didn't make her weak at all. I chuckled and her expression changed from a defensive one to one filled with wonder and then it turned defensive again. I placed the stick back at the side of the bed and she finally released my thumb from her bite. "Who are you and what do you want from me?" She asked with her gentle voice sounding a tad feral. She was wrapping me around her fingers even more with this defensive personality and I liked it, I liked the entertainment it brought to me.
I couldn't respond to her question so I simply opened her hands and placed the letter in it. I moved closer to her, her neck to be precise and inhaled her scent, she smelt like lavender. I saw her jolt at my closeness but I would not allow that last long, with time she would crave my closeness. I moved away from her neck because the longer I stayed that close to the vital point, the more the vampiric side of me wanted to take over and bite her. I reached for her hand and she struggled for a while before letting me take it, I placed a soft kiss on it and returned to the castle.
