Using the Gacha Bonus

Another Voice then spoke. "Was it really that bad Glynda".

Glynda tinted her head too see Cinder, who was wearing a light brown vest, with of white shirt underneath it, and jeans, as she sighed. "Yes Cinder, just because your a new teacher you don't know like I did last year".

Cinder chuckled softly as she crossed her arms, her demeanor calm and composed despite the chaos around them. "I look forward to it," she said, her voice light but with a hint of something else underneath, though it was difficult to discern. "But I'm sure I'll get along just fine with all of you."

Ruby, ever the curious one, tilted her head in confusion. "Wait, you're gonna be teaching us tomorrow? How would you get to know us if we're already in class?"

Glynda gave Ruby a stern look before answering, clearing her throat. "Because Cinder will be taking over Dust class for both the first and second years starting tomorrow," she explained, her voice a mix of frustration and professionalism. "That includes introducing new topics and teaching about its properties, uses, and dangers."

Jaune raised his hand hesitantly, clearly unsure if he should ask, but still doing so anyway. "What happened to Mr. Peatro?"

The mention of the old Dust teacher, who had always been a bit eccentric, seemed to catch everyone's attention. A silence followed for a moment before Glynda spoke again, her tone a little more somber.

"He was involved in an unfortunate accident during the break," she said, her gaze softening slightly. "It's still being investigated, but he won't be returning to teach this semester."

The mood in the room shifted subtly as students processed the news. Jaune lowered his hand, looking at the floor, the weight of the announcement settling over them. Even though Mr. Peatro was an unconventional teacher, it still stung to hear about his absence.

Cinder, noticing the change in atmosphere, shifted the conversation. "But no need to worry," she added with a reassuring smile. "I'll be doing my best to make sure you all learn everything you need to know about Dust in a way that's engaging."

Glynda shot her a quick look but didn't say anything. She knew Cinder's methods, but this was still new territory. However, she had to admit that Cinder's charisma might help smooth things over with the students.

Oscar looked at Blake as he spoke. "You feeling it too right".

She looked back at Oscar as she spoke. "Yeah, but I am not sure if it just my gut feeling or something else".

Oscar gave Blake a knowing glance, his expression serious. "I don't know... Something feels off about all this," he said quietly, lowering his voice so no one else could overhear. "Cinder just seems... different from the other teachers. Like there's more to her than what she's letting on."

Blake nodded, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looked at Cinder, who was chatting with Glynda at the front of the room. "I feel it too. It's like there's something hidden beneath the surface. It's hard to put my finger on it, but it doesn't feel like she's here just to teach."

Oscar let out a quiet sigh, shifting in his seat. "Yeah. And with Mr. Peatro gone... It feels like we're being set up for something we don't fully understand yet."

Blake glanced at him, a little surprised by his insight. "You think it's connected? The accident and Cinder taking over?"

Oscar shrugged, trying to make sense of the situation. "I don't know. I just have this feeling that there's more going on here than we know."

Blake didn't say anything for a moment, but her expression softened. She understood what Oscar meant. Something about the way things were changing at Beacon felt wrong, like they were walking into something much bigger than just a new semester.

"We'll keep an eye on her," Blake said finally, her voice firm. "If something's going on, we'll find out what it is."

Oscar nodded in agreement. "We'll stick together on this. Whatever happens, we'll be ready."

They exchanged a brief but understanding look before returning their attention to the rest of the room, both knowing that Beacon Academy wasn't just a place for training Huntsmen and Huntresses—it was a place filled with secrets, and they had only scratched the surface.

Late that night, as in the balcony was Oscar and Blake, as Blake just looked at as her eyebrows twitched.

Blake looked at him as he spoke. "You were only gone for one week, and while I was in Beacon, you god Gacha Function in your gamer system as Monster Menu as well".

Oscar chuckled as he looked at her. "Yeah sorry".

As Nyx came out Oscar shadow, as Blake patted the Grimm cat. "You know this explains her".

Oscar smiled sheepishly as Nyx, the Grimm cat, stretched and curled up next to Blake, clearly comfortable with her presence. "Yeah, I wasn't exactly planning on getting her," Oscar said with a shrug. "But when the system drops a gift like that... can't really turn it down, can I?"

Blake glanced down at Nyx, who purred contentedly in her lap. "I guess not. But seriously, a Grimm cat?" she said, raising an eyebrow. "You've got to admit, it's a little... odd."

Oscar chuckled again, running a hand through his hair. "I get it. It's not what most people would expect from me, but honestly, she's been a big help. The system's been showing me new ways to use her. And she seems to like you, too," he added with a playful smile.

Blake's lips twitched into a small smile as she gently scratched Nyx behind the ears. "She's growing on me," Blake admitted, her tone softer than usual. "But what about everything else? Your new abilities... the Monster Menu... it's like you're collecting powers, and it's all coming from that... system of yours."

Oscar sighed, his smile fading as he gazed out into the night. "I know, Blake. It's a lot to process. The system gives me options I never thought I'd have. Sometimes, I wonder if I'm even still in control of all of it."

Blake was quiet for a moment before speaking again, her voice thoughtful. "I get that feeling, too. It's like... the more you learn, the more questions you have. But one thing's for sure—if this system is leading you to something, we'll figure it out together."

Oscar met her gaze, feeling a sense of reassurance in her words. "Thanks, Blake. That means a lot."

Blake gave him a slight smile, her eyes softening. "We've been through a lot together, Oscar. We're not stopping now."

Nyx meowed, as if in agreement, and Blake chuckled, the moment of tension easing.

Oscar smiled back, feeling a little lighter. "Yeah, I guess you're right. No matter what comes next, we've got each other's backs."

Blake looked as she spoke. "So the Monstee system will give you more Grimm Eggs right".

Oscar looked at her as he spoke. "Yeah, but it didn't explain too me how".

Blake looked at him as she sighed. "I wonder what will be another Grimm that will be fromm that egg".

Oscar leaned back slightly against the balcony, gazing out into the starry sky as he processed Blake's question. "I'm honestly not sure," he admitted. "The system hasn't been super clear about how it works. It's all pretty vague when it comes to the details."

Blake crossed her arms thoughtfully. "It's strange… you're getting these Grimm eggs from the system, but what happens when they hatch? Will they be just like Nyx, or... something else entirely?"

Oscar glanced down at Nyx, who was still curled up peacefully at Blake's feet. She looked so innocent, so unthreatening, despite being a Grimm. He could see why Blake was curious about what other Grimm might hatch. "I don't know. I mean, Nyx is the first Grimm I've really bonded with like this, so maybe every egg will be different. Maybe they'll be... helpful, like her. Or maybe not."

Blake's eyes flickered to Nyx, her brow furrowing slightly. "The system does seem to be leaning toward Grimm that could be more like... companions, instead of mindless monsters. But that makes me wonder—what's the catch? Why would the system give you Grimm, and not just any Grimm, but ones that could help you?"

Oscar took a deep breath, thinking it over. "I have no idea. It doesn't really make sense, does it? Why would something so dangerous—something so inherently destructive—be turned into... well, a pet, of sorts? Maybe it has something to do with the bigger picture. Like, maybe I need them to fight something bigger down the line. Or maybe there's a reason the system's choosing specific types of Grimm."

Blake nodded, though she still seemed skeptical. "There's always a bigger picture. But this is all a little unsettling. The more you get from the system, the more it feels like there's some kind of... hidden agenda behind it."

Oscar glanced down at Nyx again, who had rolled onto her back, purring contentedly. "Maybe. But I'm trying not to overthink it. Right now, all I can do is focus on what's in front of me and trust that things will make sense eventually."

Blake gave a small, understanding nod. "I guess that's all we can do for now. Just... be careful with whatever comes next. The unknown can be a dangerous thing."

Oscar smiled softly. "I will. I promise."

Blake studied him for a moment before speaking again, her voice quieter. "And if you ever need help figuring this out, I'm here. We all are."

Oscar felt a warmth spread through him at her words. It was a reminder that no matter how strange or confusing the path ahead might be, he wasn't walking it alone. "Thanks, Blake. That means a lot."

Blake then looked at him as he spoke. "So wanna try the Gacha thing".

Oscar thought for a bit, as he srugged. System show you self too Blake".

Oscar srugged as he chose the 1 spin option. "Let's see".

They then see a spinning motion, as it turned red as they blinked.

[6 star Skill accrued

Skill: disguise has been gotten]

Blake blinked, her eyes widening slightly as the system notification appeared in front of them. "Disguise? That's... interesting."

Oscar raised an eyebrow. "Disguise, huh? I mean, it sounds useful, but I didn't expect something like this from the gacha." He quickly tapped the notification to bring up more details about the skill.

[Disguise - 6 Star Skill

Allows the user to create an illusionary disguise of any person, object, or creature.

The disguise is highly convincing, though it only lasts for a limited time based on the user's Aura.

At higher levels, the illusion can be maintained for longer durations and affect the senses of others, making it hard to detect.]

Oscar then stopped as he spoke. "Actually this is perfect".

Blake looked at him as she spoke. "Oscar please don't tell me what you are thinking".

Oscar looked at her as he spoke. "Remember when you said, why don't you create an Underground Persona".

Blake grabbed him as she spoke. "I was joking that day".

Oscar was being shaked by her as he spoke. "I mean you can join me, you already joined my Vigilantly Identity as the white Cat".

Blake looked at him as he spoke. "That is different when you are the white mask you are a vigilanty a Hero, I only joined because that was you clone and need to make sure he didn't desiperd while the 1 month suspension was going"

Oscar blinked a few times as he processed her words, still being shaken by Blake. "Okay, fair point," he admitted, his voice slightly muffled. "But the underground persona thing could be a cool way to handle certain situations. I could use it to slip past enemy lines, get information, and maybe even help people without anyone knowing who I really am."

Blake stopped shaking him but still held onto his shoulders with a stern look. "Oscar... it's one thing to act like a vigilante when you're trying to keep a low profile. But creating an underground persona? That's a whole other level. You're asking for trouble."

Oscar grinned sheepishly. "Okay, okay, maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself. But think about it. What if we did it together? You could be my... partner. You could be the "White Cat" alongside me."

Blake rolled her eyes and sighed, crossing her arms. "Oscar, the "White Cat" is a name that you came up with, and I only agreed to it because it was part of keeping you under control. I never signed up for a secret underground hero persona with costumes and all that other nonsense."

Oscar looked at her with a hopeful expression. "You know, it could be fun. We could work together, stay out of the spotlight, and still make a difference. Just think about it."

Blake stared at him for a moment, clearly debating with herself. She knew Oscar was passionate, and his ideas were often a bit... overzealous, but he also had a point. They were both capable of more than just being regular students. However, she still felt cautious about it all.

"I don't know, Oscar. We're already dealing with enough. Do we really need to add another layer of chaos?" she said, her tone a bit softer but still skeptical.

Oscar leaned back slightly, trying to lighten the mood. "I mean, if it's chaos, we could always call it... 'organized chaos.'"

Blake couldn't help but chuckle despite herself. "You're something else, you know that?"

Oscar gave a mischievous smile. "I try."

Blake shook her head, her expression softening. "Fine. But only if it's necessary. And we have to be careful. This isn't just a game, Oscar."

Oscar nodded, looking more serious. "I promise, we'll be careful. We're doing this together, alright?"

Blake nodded in agreement. "Alright, partner. But don't get too carried away."

Oscar smirked. "No promises."

Blake then spoke signing. "You know what fuck it, you are gonna do it anyway, so I am joining you better use that skill on me as well".

Oscar blinked, surprised by Blake's sudden change of heart. "Wait, really? You're actually going to join me?" He raised an eyebrow, grinning with excitement. "Well, in that case... looks like we're officially partners in crime."

Blake shot him a dry look. "Only because you won't drop it, and honestly, I don't want you getting into trouble without me watching your back."

Oscar chuckled and immediately tapped on the Gacha system. He selected the "Disguise" skill option for Blake, confirming it. A red glow enveloped Blake for a moment before fading, leaving her with a slightly curious expression.

"There," Oscar said with a grin, "now we both have the same skill. We're ready to go undercover, partner."

Blake adjusted her stance, rolling her shoulders. "Let's just hope this doesn't end up as a disaster. I don't need any more attention than I already get."

Oscar laughed. "Disaster? It'll be fine. We'll keep it under control."

Blake sighed, muttering under her breath, "You better."

Despite her reluctance, Blake couldn't hide the small smile that tugged at the corner of her lips. She knew it was a bad idea—but she also knew that with Oscar, things were never just normal. And maybe, just maybe, this time, it could work out better than expected.

"Alright, let's just make sure we're doing this right," Blake said, crossing her arms and giving him a pointed look. "We keep it low-key, no flashy moves, and absolutely no costumes, got it?"

Oscar saluted her dramatically. "Aye, Captain! Low-key and stealthy, that's our style. We'll be like shadows in the night."

Blake just shook her head, rolling her eyes but still secretly a little excited for what they were about to do. "If you mess this up, I swear..." she trailed off, knowing it was a pointless threat. Oscar was Oscar, after all.
