Chapter Thirty-Two:
"I'm done!" I answered once I brush my face with my hands because of the frustration that burst out on me and I am done with this.
"Shu!" Haimon catch up on me but I don't let him to hold me.
I raised my both hands and spoke. "Don't touch me!" I firmly stated before leaving him.
Hours ago…
It took me long before I let go of my husband, slowly I distance myself from him and as I look into his eyes. Surprised and confusion was written from his face and I couldn't blame him, not even myself because somehow, I suddenly became clingy on him.
"… I'm sorry." I said after I calm down.
"Don't be sorry," he said as he came to my side. "What's wrong? Did you have a bad dream?" he worriedly asked me but what should I say.
I secretly deep sigh before I answered. "I'm fine, it just that I feel so sorry when we fight last time. That I have never been able to apologize for my reaction on that day… I'm sorry. I really am."
"Oh," he hugs me. "I should be the one to say sorry. And I'm so so sorry, Love. For what I did to leave and not follow you when you suddenly left, I asked for forgiveness. I'm really, really sorry."
I shake my head under his embrace and answered. "Uhm, that's fine. I already forgive you." I replied though I still wanted to ask him about the truth, if he was really a Vampire or not. Yet I am afraid it will only cause him to lie for more and I don't want that to happen. I simply don't want that to happen.
After a while…
We ate our breakfast and lunch in peace and right now, we were at the balcony taking our time to relax since he decided not to go to work. Haimon decided to stay at my side this whole day and I am so happy with this simple time together.
We just simply stay here in our house doing simple things and now we were reading some books together in silence. Though sometimes, I tickle him using my feet and then he smiles at me before attacking me back. Making me to laugh hard as he continues to attack me back, and I'm so glad with this simple moment together, enough for me to forget my questions.
A day with my husband, Haimon, I'm so happy and contented and I really thought this would never end when suddenly he received a call at two in the afternoon. I wanted to stop him to take it but I cannot and silently hope that he won't go but then.
"Love, I need to go for a while." He said and it breaks my heart.
"Do you really need to go?"
"… Yes." It took a second before he answered. "It is something urgent that--"
"Go," I cut him off. "As if I can stop you if I said 'don't go'." I whispered to myself.
"Love--"
I left him without a word. I didn't even listen to what he wanted to say as long as I get away from him. I just go straight to the other room and lock myself there until I heard his car finally left our house. In silence, I decided to call one person that I can talk too.
"I'm so glad that you called me." Kanik said after I decided to call him. "What do you want to talk about?" he asked me straight.
"Are you telling me the truth?" I asked him straight because I still couldn't believe him, I still can't. "Vampires? Are you for real?"
I heard him sighs. "I know, it is hard to believe but we're real." He replied. "And I think Haimon won't let you know the truth even though you ask him. He will just tell a lie and it's all because of what he had done before."
"Done before? Wh-what are you talking about?"
"It's all about Siara. He wanted to hide you the truth about her."
Siara? "… Who is she?" fear suddenly embraces me and I listen to his story, I really don't know if I can stay calm as soon as I see Haimon.
Night…
"Love, I'm so sorry I came home late." He said and was about to kiss me but I dodge it.
"Tell, me." I spoke. "Who is Siara?" I directly asked him even though I already expecting he won't tell me anything but the surprised from his face was written all over and I already knew, that was one of his secrets.
"Where did you learn that?"
"What? Aren't you going to tell me the truth about her?"
"Shu, tell me who told you about her?" he seriously replied.
"Why? Is it still important to know who said it?" I spoke. "Well, it seems she's someone so special to you that you couldn't tell me who she really is."
"Shu! Tell me who told you that!" he suddenly snaps out and holds me firmly to my shoulders. "Tell me!" his eyes changes into crimson gold just like the eyes of Kanik when he showed me his Vampire side.
"So… it is true! You're a Va-vampire!" I said in shock and that is the only time Haimon realizes what he had done.
He releases me and walks back as his eyes turns to normal. "I--"
"Tell me." I cut him. "Please, be honest with me. Who you really are?"
He looks at me for so long I thought I would never hear him say a word but to my surprised, I didn't expect what he answered. "I'm sorry." He spoke.
"Wh-what! Haimon!"
"I can't tell you." He simply answered.
"But why?!" I said it out loud as my frustration starts to build up but I still calm myself and try to understand him. "Alright," I take a deep, deep breath before I continue but he cuts me off.
"I'm really sorry."
