Second Level [3]

Unlike the Goblins, who had houses we could loot (though only one had something valuable), the Kobolds slept in the woods, which meant we couldn't repeat our success with them as we did with the Goblins.

However, since the Kobold chief was a mini boss like the goblin, albeit weaker, there was still a chance the tower might have left an extra reward somewhere, as had happened several times in the novel.

If we couldn't gain anything extra from the Kobolds, then the oak set items, the accumulated points, increased stats, and the opportunity to access an epic-grade mana water in the tower would be our biggest gains from the first level of the Tower.

As for why I didn't consider the possibility of a mini boss for the wolves, it was already taken care of by that 'crazy' woman—the one leading the wolves Lionel and I saw after we came out of the cave.

From the traces of black hair in the cave, it was obvious that it was their campsite.
