Second Level [4]

Though Lionel didn't say a thing, the look of dread on his face gave me an idea of what was on his mind.

He had probably realised it by now….

….the three-day timer to reach the next floor….

It wasn't as easy as playing it safe in the first level of the tutorial floor while making our way here.

To outsiders like us, it was a misconceived message that killed half of us.

The portal not too far from Lionel and me was proof that there was still more in this new world than the forest we found ourselves in.

For others who didn't know this and wanted to play it "safe," they unknowingly walked into their death.

The three-day timer.

We had to reach the next floor during this period.

Failure to do that meant death, and while we hadn't escaped it yet, Lionel and I were already a step further away from it than those that played it safe in the forest.
