Anya, leaned forward, her brow furrowed in concentration. "You mentioned a weapon earlier, a gun? You said it was like a magical bow that propelled projectiles at the speed of sound."

"Right, a gun fires bullets, small metal objects that launch forward with incredible force when triggered." He fumbled for the right words, trying to explain a concept so foreign to their world.

"It sounds powerful," Aseira mused, stroking her chin thoughtfully. "But could it truly destroy an entire kingdom?"

Alex hesitated. The casualness with which he had mentioned guns now felt jarring in the face of their awe. He took a deep breath.
