Ghost Hunter?

Before they could say anything, a thud was heard. As someone kicked in a window to the building. The boys quickly moved to stand in front of the girls, they didn't know who or what had kicked in the barricade on that window. But they sure as hell didn't want to find out.

THUMP!

A pair of combat boots hit the ground, and there stood a man. He wore a black long sleeve shirt, with black ripped jeans. A set of changes hanging from his belt loops, with spiked bracelets around his wrists.

"Great now there's an emo here!" Jake shouted.

The so-called emo, turned to look at Jake. The frown on his face shows his displeasure with being called "emo". But before things could get worse Leo stepped in.

"Jake chill, he could help us-" Leo started before the male cut him off.

"What's a bunch of kids doing in a place like this?" The man asked.

"Trying to find a way out." Riley spoke up, her voice soft and shy, but loud enough to be heard.

The male looked at her and hummed before jerking his thumb at the window he just came in through. "I mean just use the wi-"

But before he could finish a loud shriek rang through the halls. Not even a moment later Marrissa appeared yet again.

"Guys the shrieker found you, you need to run!" She warned.

BANG!

The male drew a gun and fired it at Marrissa, causing her to squeak and fwoosh behind Megan and Jake.

"Stop hiding!" The male yelled.

"HEY! What the fuck are you trying to kill her for?" Leo shouted.

Everyone in his group was stunned into silence, Leo never truly yelled like this.

"She's a ghost, I'm a ghost hunter! It's kinda my job!" The man shouted back, annoyed.

"I don't give a shit, you're going to leave her alone, she's my friend. If you're really a ghost hunter, our other friend is somewhere in the building fighting a group of Lost Souls!" Leo shouted again, anger rising in his voice.

"You've seen a Lost Soul, and you're still Alive?" The man asked in shock.

Leo nodded, "That ghost you tried to fucking kill, she's the reason me and my friends are here." he growled out, his words laced with venom and pain.

The man frowned, putting away his gun. He was silent for a moment before holding out his hand. "Sorry for trying to kill my friend. My Name's Cole, Cole Emmetine. Ghost-hunter." He said softly.

Just then an unsettling echo was heard through the building. Almost like a song, but it wasn't. It was a scream, similar to a whale, but there was no water nearby. The group froze, chills running down their spines.

"What was that?" Riley asked.

The echo was enough to bring Draya to tears, while Marrissa seemed utterly terrified.

"Please tell me that was just another scarier shrieker?" Megan asked Marrissa.

Marrissa shook her head, only able to utter a single shaky word. "Lunarion."

The group looked at her confused, a Lunarion? What the hell was that? Whatever it was, it sure did have Marrissa shaken up.

Meanwhile, with Dixie she seemed to be having the time of her life. Fighting the Lost Souls, clearly enjoying herself. That was, well, until she heard the Lunarion. Both her and the Lost Souls froze, frozen in utter terror. Dixie and the Lost Soul exchanged a glance, before the Lost Soul spoke.

"Save them." Was all the Lost Soul said before taking her group and leaving.

With shaky hands Dixie loaded her rifle, muttering to herself.

"A Lunarion?" She muttered to herself.

"You heard it." A male voice called from behind her.

She flinched and let out a frustrated growl, "God Simon, how many times must I tell you to stop scarin' me!?" she shouted as she turned around.

As she turned around she was face to face with an 18 year old ghost, who was floating upside down.

"Reow! Claws came out." He teased, before fixing his posture suddenly much more serious.

Dixie was shocked, Simon was never serious. "You-" She stuttered out but he silenced her.

"Shhh Dix. If there's a Lunarion in here, then your friends are in danger." He said, before smiling. "Take them through our old tunnels. A Lunarion won't fit through there, you'll be safe."

She managed a small nod, looking at the ghost. "What about you?" She asked.

He smiled, "Girl! You know you can't get rid of me, I'm bound to you remember." he said, messing with her hat.

She scoffed and fixed her hat, "For the last time, stop messin' with my damned hat, Si!" but her voice held no malice.

With that being said, she offered a small smile and turned. Running down the halls, off to save her new friends. If you could call them friends, she still had yet to save them. But as she ran and ran the echoes of the Lunarion grew closer and closer.

Back with the group, Jake was freaking out. Trying to calm his girlfriend and sister down, as they were both panicked and crying. While Leo was internally struggling, he didn't know what to do anymore. But if he didn't do something... he quickly shook his head, he didn't even want to think about what would happen if he didn't do something. The echoes and screams were closer now, closer than before. Close enough it sounded only a few feet away, but then it stopped.

It was as if the whole world had frozen, as if the world was holding its breath. He glanced around at his friends, they were all frozen. Appearing to be frozen in time, he had no idea what was happening. Was this the work of some kind of monster, was he going to die? He suddenly flinched, turning around as someone spoke behind him.

"Relax, child." The voice called as he turned around.

Standing, no floating, there behind him was a woman. Her long black hair cascading over her shoulders, untamed. While her pale skin almost glowed, her eyes a bright gold.

"What are you?" Leo muttered out before he could stop himself.

The woman giggled, "I'm what you mortals call a goddess." she smirked.

"A goddess!?" He shouted in shock. "But what? Why? Why are you here?" He asked in confusion, his heart racing.

A goddess here? Talking to him, but why?

"I've simply come to offer you my aid." She said, her voice holding a cocky tone.

"Why should I trust you?" He asked, hesitance filling his voice.

He knew he needed help, and the help of a goddess could turn the tables for him. But how did he know she was truly a goddess?

"You can't." She giggled, "That's what makes this more fun, it's a gamble." she smirked.

Leo growled, clenching his jaw. "What do you want?"

"Simple, I want your service." She said bluntly.

"My service?" He inquired.

"You pledge your loyalty, and I'll save your friends. You deny me and I'll let you all die." She said, "It's a very simple choice for a child. You can either bow down and be my little errand boy, or you can watch your friends die." she cackled, her golden eyes taking a sinister glow.

Leo's jaw clenched further, his muscles rippling as he clenched his fists. If he died this so-called goddess then he and his friends would die. But if he agreed it would be like selling his soul, in his mind, he didn't have a choice.

"NO! I won't gamble on the lives of my friends." He spit out, his voice laced with venom.

The goddess smirked, "What a smart boy." she said.

Leo was confused, before suddenly a loud ringing filled his ears. He quickly shut his eyes and covered his ears, however when the ringing stopped and he opened his eyes, the goddess was gone.

BANG!

A gunshot rang out through the air, just as Dixie ran over. But behind her, the thing she had shot. It was terrifying. It was a huge beast, with long razor sharp teeth. It's talons as long as a sword, with a dragon-like appearance. Suddenly a pained scream filled his ears, as he tore his eyes away from the beast. It was Dixie, her side was bleeding heavily, from a deep gash.

"What happened!?" He shouted as he ran over to her, wrapping her arm around his shoulders.

"Fuckin'..." She muttered through gritted teeth, leaning into Leo. "That bastard.." She growled, looking at the beast.

"What is that thing?" Chase asked as he ran over to help Dixie.

"No time, just run." She muttered, as she felt her eyes grow heavy.

Before anyone could react Dixie passed out, from the pain or blood loss they weren't sure. But before they could react, the beast let out a terrifying echo. Confirming their suspicions... It was the Lunarion.

"This way!" A little girl shouted from down the hall.

The girl appeared translucent, like the little girl Leo had seen earlier. She held a stuffed frog in her left hand, as she waved for the group to follow her. Without thinking Leo hoisted Dixie over his shoulder, and shouted an order.

"Guys come on!" He said as he started to head towards the girl.

"How do you know we can trust her?!" Jake shouted.

"We don't have a choice!" Leo shouted back.
