Part 8

"Why, what do you want?" asked Athena irritably.

Grey himself turned his gaze to Noah, ignoring Athena. "Noah, her neck is red from being strangled by James' arm. Treat her. Don't let her get hurt. She'll be troublesome later," Grey said.

"Yes, I already intend to do so."

Grey nodded, then quickly left there.

"Damn. Who's being troublesome? Why is he such a pain in the ass?!" annoyed Athena.

Noah chuckled. "Sorry. That's just the way he is."

"No need to apologize. It's not your fault, Noah."

"Okay. Let's go to your room. Before you rest, I'll treat your neck first. Okay?" Noah said gently, very different from Grey.

Athena smiled and nodded. "Yes."

It was a good thing Noah was here to ease her anger. If it was just her and Grey here, Athena would probably have a heart attack because of her anger.

"Good afternoon, Athena. Eat your breakfast first. Did you take a shower?"

"Yes. I've already showered, Noah. You shouldn't have bothered to bring me breakfast, I can get it myself. I feel bad, especially since I woke up quite early today," Athena said, feeling bad for bothering Noah, although on the other hand, Athena was happy to feel cared for.

It had now been two days since the incident. Athena did feel like she was getting used to it here. It was also because of Noah who helped her. Athena was really grateful that Noah was here.

"It's okay. It's not troublesome. You slept well because I gave you some medicine yesterday that helped calm you down. I was afraid you'd have trouble sleeping because of what happened yesterday. It's good that you slept well. I actually brought this to you to say goodbye. I have to leave for a while."

Athena furrowed her brow, feeling both confused and panicked. "G—going? Where to, Noah?" she asked cautiously.

"I have to work. Even though I'm Grey's personal physician, I still want to work. I haven't worked in a long time because I wanted to be with you. However, now that you know this house, I've told Grey not to disturb you. Do you agree? If you agree, I'll come to work today, if you don't agree, no problem, I don't need to come in."

"Wait. You're asking for my approval?" asked Athena and Noah nodded. "Why? You can just come to work if you want, Noah. I'm nothing either."

"I wanted to make sure you were calm. I know, you're still afraid of Grey disturbing you. Afraid too that you might not be completely familiar here. And, you are important to me right now. That's why I asked you, for your opinion."

Athena smiled warmly at that. Noah, what a perfect and kind man. "I'm fine, Noah. Go ahead. You haven't worked for a few days because of me. This house is familiar to me," Athena replied.

"Okay. Here."

Noah suddenly handed over a cell phone, making Athena surprised. "This?"

"For you. Call me if Grey messes up or you need something. Then, you can get rid of boredom with the cell phone. Take it." Noah took Athena's hand, putting the cell phone in her hand.

"Oh my god. Thank you, Noah."

Noah smiled at the sight of a happy Athena. "You're welcome, Athena."

"How's it going? You still haven't gotten a girlfriend, right? I found a list of girls for you to date. You're going on a blind date. This time, you can't refuse. I'm getting old, what if I don't have grandchildren because you keep putting it off? Let's go—"

"Dad. Come on. I just picked up your phone. You didn't greet me, ask how I was doing, you just asked me that. You no longer care about your favorite son and only think about grandchildren?" Grey interrupted immediately.

There was regret that Grey picked up his father's phone, but Grey would never ignore his father's call in the end. Grey truly loved his father. His father who struggled alone to take care of him and raise him, loved and pampered Grey so much.

Wilson Moonstone-Grey's father-sighs. "Already, don't change the subject. Why would I ask how you're doing? You must be fine," Wilson replied.

"You can't do that, Dad. The house had a visitor two days ago. Robert's men came back."

"Okay. But you're okay, right?" Wilson asked and Grey said yes. "Okay. I'm sure you're fine too. Your skills are good. If you got hurt by Robert's men, you really suck," Wilson continued with Grey's chuckle.

"I'm actually okay. They didn't do anything to me. But he took my wife hostage. Fortunately, I was able to save my wife."

"I see. Good—wait. What?! Wife?! You already have a wife?!"

Grey smiled. "Yes, Father. I already have a wife. So, you need not worry and stop asking me for blind dates. There is not a single woman I like."

"Okay. Of course if you already have a wife, I won't look for you again. But, are you serious? Who is your wife? Why don't you know?"

"That's why I'm telling you now. It's actually a coincidence. She saved me, I took her home, I liked her, then I made her my wife, she loved me too."

Wilson's brow furrowed. "Huh?"

"I'll explain in detail." Grey then explained everything. "Okay, that's our story. We didn't have an extravagant wedding, but the important thing was that we quickly established our status. You stopped forcing me or finding me another woman. I already have her, that's enough."

"Okay. Show me her face, I want to see it."

"Don't. It won't be a surprise, right? How about you come here?"

"Yes, I will. But not now, I don't have time. When I have time, I'll go there and meet your daughter-in-law in person. Her name is Athena? You gave her the name, didn't you say?"

"Yes. She doesn't remember her name."

"Are you sure you love her?"

Grey furrowed his brow. "What do you mean?"

"Isn't Athena that little girl's name?"
