She walked to the restaurant and entered it. Before she could say anything to anyone, a waiter approached her with a pot of tea and a cup, placed on a silver tray. He gestured for her to follow him.
Jacqueline followed the waiter to a table next to the windows, but then she realized that she did not have her purse on her. So, this meant that she would not be able to pay for the tea.
The waiter excitedly gestured to the chair, urging her to sit down.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t have my money here,” Jacqueline began to explain. But, the waiter cut her words short, by indicating towards a man sitting at a table in the corner of the restaurant. The man seemed European in appearance.
“That man has paid for you, Ma’am” the waiter explained. Jacqueline was too thirsty to query anything further, so she sat down and started pouring her tea.
The tea tasted divine and there was a lovely, sweet aroma in the restaurant. She suddenly started feeling sleepy.
