16- Choi getting jealousy

Two hours later, Kwan came back to his office room.

"Let's go," he said without even giving a proper look inside the office, whether Choi was there or not.

"Yes!"

Choi stood up from the bottom of his table. Her pursed lips and beaming eyes distinctly enunciated that she had done something illegal in his drawer.

"What were you doing there?" Kwan asked doubtfully.

Holding her hand behind her, she leaned her head to one side and shook her head, "Nothing!"

"Come on," he said, extending his arms. She came running. At the time, he received a call. He pressed the power button instead and slid it back into his pocket once Choi held his hand.

Thereafter, they left the office.

He brought her to the luxurious textiles that she had never seen before. As she was allured by the different sections of dresses, Kwan dragged her to the party wear section.

There, he sat as her stunned eyes were fixed on the elegant dresses, which were limited edition. He then allowed her, "choose one."

The staff began to show her dress, explaining its special characteristics.

She twirled her head towards him at a light speed, and her feet scurried towards him. Leaning her face near his ear, she whispered, "This all cost more than a million dollars. Let's go to another shop. We can buy it cheaply."

Kwan breathed once before asking sarcastically, "Do you think that I'm too poor to spend much money on it?"

"N-no," she stammered, straightening up her posture, and her mouth wasn't steady in hesitation. He gave a longing look at those dresses and sighed hopelessly.

"Choose one," Kwan repeated.

She shrugged her shoulders as if she wasn't aware of spending his money; furthermore, she pointed out his warning, "Don't blame me for this then."

Kwan nodded firmly, assured, "Of course."

She then went to choose her favourite one.

"You can trial this, mam." A staff member offered it to her once she noticed Choi kept measuring the dress's waist size and hers using her fingers.

"Can I?" Choi asked surprisingly.

That staff nodded. "Yes."

Choi then picked one randomly and went into the trial room.

Kwan received the call again, irritating him while he was watching her every move with his admirable eyes, as if he had longed for this moment.

He glimpsed at the phone and found it was from his sister, Yejin. He attended it and voiced with disregard, "What?"

"Brother! Why did you bring Choi with you all the way to the Switcherland?"

Kwan's face came to the realisation that that wasn't Yeji's but Woo-Sunk's. Furthermore, he could scan the envy that Woo-Sunk's voice had distinguished.

"She is not your wife anymore to you ask!" Kwan declared solidly.

"I think you forget that you are just a friend to her." Woo-Sunk raised his rude voice, knowing Kwan hated being disrespected.

"You-"

"Kwanna,"

His heart sent an emotion-filled sensation to his brain, which elaborates that was Choi's cute voice whenever she felt wanted. So he veered around to her and failed to reply to Woo-Sunk once he witnessed Choi's spontaneous beauty in that stylish dress.

"How is it?" Asked Choi, doubtly gave a disappointed look at her dress since Kwan stood there without saying anything.

Despite how perfect her figure was, he couldn't take his eyes away from her lustering eyes, which were looking at him directly for a response.

"Kwanna!"

She raised her voice a little, bringing Kwan back to his conscience. Not only that, her voice reached Woo-Sunk, who was in the line.

"Choi?" Woo-Sunk mumbled her name.

"Looking good," Kwan complemented normally.

"Why? Why? What looks good? Brother!!! Where are you two?" Woo-Sunk flustered on the phone, not knowing what was going on there.

"Just looking good?" Choi muttered, disgruntled.

"Looking good means you look nice on this," Kwan enunciated.

Only then did Choi's lip curl into a delighted smile. "Then bag this!" informing her with an enthusiastic voice, she hurried inside the trial room.

"Bag this?" Woo-Sunk kneaded his hair and found they were shopping. Not to delay, he yelled at his brother, "Brother! How can you bring her shopping? You are going overboard. She is my wife!"

"A little correction. She is your divorced wife."

Kwan dictated ruthlessly, causing Woo-Sunk to inflamely scream, "Brother!!!!"

Not able to hear him shout, Kwan disconnected the call immediately.

Thereafter, they went to the slipper section. Purchasing Choi's favourite one, both returned to the house.

"Aren't you going back to the office?" Asked Choi when Kwan stepped inside the house with her.

"No, who will cook lunch for you if I leave?" He asked, going directly towards the kitchen as Choi appeared to be falling for his care again.

"Put those in your room and come downstairs to help me with chopping vegetables," Kwan instructed her as she stood right there, adoring the sexiness in him, rolling his sleeves up to his arms.

She shook his head from drooling over him and ran upstairs before she was caught.

She then came downstairs and stood in front of him, glimpsing him and chopping the cappage.

He put some vegetables and a knife in front of her before continuing his work.

Instead of cutting the veggies, she noticed his handsomeness and felt envious, remembering that he had a girlfriend. Pouted her lips disappointedly; she picked up the knife and even muttered, "I should drift them apart!"

After she chopped, she voluntarily approached him to hand over the chopped vegetables. Seeing the opportunity that she could cling to him by dropping the vegetables into the boiling water, she extended her arms and raised her feet to go a little closer to him.

Unfortunately, she ended up dropping all of them on the floor, causing Kwan to sigh.

"Sorry," she apologised quickly, and she squatted down to collect the vegetables.

He also squatted down and began to collect the vegetables. "I just asked you to chop the vegetables only," he reminded her, looking at her collecting the vegetables flusterly.

Immediately, her fingers halted from touching the vegetables, and she looked up at him with guilty eyes.

"Go and sit back. I will do the rest." He ordered her.

She snivelled, crestfallen, and headed back to her seat disappointedly.

Slapping the table with tension, she muttered under her breath, "He has begun to roar at me ever since his girlfriend appeared."

*Ding Dong*

Doorbells earned their attention.

Choi threw her furious stare at Kwan, telling herself, "He said no one would be here except him."

"Who is it?" Kwan was slightly baffled.

The doorbell rang again.

Kwan put the vegetables on the table and went to open the door as Choi glared at him fiercely.

"Hi,"

His ex-girlfriend popped up and surprised him.

"Why are you here?"

He struck out sharp questions heartlessly.

"Am I not allowed?" She asked as if she had authority to enter the house.

Choi peeked at the door. Soon after noticing his ex-girlfriend, she inhaled deeply and outragedly.

"Yes!" Kwan admitted it without regret.

"I don't think," she assured and went inside, dictating, "If not, why are you holding the door open for me then?"

"Oh, who is this?" that woman asked, knowing Kwan addressed her as her girlfriend that day.

Choi rolled her eyes away deliberately.
